I re-read Władysław Szpilman's memoirs on this weekend.
Plus I love the movie, and I wanted to draw a...movie art 8/

I had an assignment last year for my history class. It was to write a summary about a movie based on event that took place during WWII, and since I had Netflix, I looked up WWII movies. Sure enough "The Pianist" came up as the first choice. It moved me so much to see how that man struggled to stay alive! The part that touched me the most was at this very scene! I was sad when you find out that generous Officer died after the war was over. I told my parents about the movie and got them to watch it too.
All in all it was a stunning movie about a true story that is now at the top of my "World War Movies List".
So great job, and keep it up!

I remember seeing the Pianist in 8th grade and I just recently snagged it from a movie store that was going out of business and I just rewatched it. It still makes me cry.
Its one of my favorite movies. And it doesn't hurt that Adrean Brody is gorgeous. (:

I saw the movie a long time ago, I think it was too much for me, I have trouble remembering it... <:j Your drawing really looks like people though (I know that's sort of an obvious statement, but your stuff has a simplicity to it that still conveys; I really like it).

I really would like to see this movie someday, when I'm ready. My parents watched it and were like a couple of zombies afterward. *chuckle* But I heard it's really REALLY good and sad. Anyway, beautiful picture. I noticed you shade using vertical lines very well!
