Been listening to 25 and couldn't help but think of that lyric for the title! Bit silly

Sooooo, this is my entry for Anna Steinbauer/depingo 's Winter Art Challenge.

I drew a background. An actual environment for my characters to sit in! I've been really terrible about learning to do that before, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do it. Unfortunately, the whole thing wasn't so convenient in the end because between laptop breakage, a final year dissertation to write, and my intuos graphics tablet dying before the competition deadline, I've not really been able to do this as well as I would have liked. I ended up having to try to finish the piece with my laptop touchpad! On a similar note, I'm sorry you haven't seen much art from me recently. My degree finishes in April, and after I'll be doing a lot

This was my favourite study that I did for this work: It's a Bouguereau master study. I was trying to capture the skin tones, and for once I think I got to grips with what colours go where and how to accurately see and select them. After I did this study, I went back to some other studies I had done, and I thought 'Oh, I can see now that I selected completely the wrong colour there, it should have been more [whatever]' - which goes to show that my eye for colour actually improved a bit!
