Description Another piece of my world Planet Gaia, original character Ikreid, the guide for the souls of deceased Gaians.

Death on Gaia is not considered to be "bad" as it is in our world. It's just something that happens with time, a change.
Killing for food (half of the Gaians are carnivorous after all) was usual and acceptable until the introduction of artificial meat.
Killing for other reason is not a term in Gaia world, it simply does not exist. Gaians don't kill each other out of spite or any other reason.

Though these facts, some do fear or hate Ikreid, possibly for his unusual appearance and the emotions connected with losing their dearest

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
....
"The Twins were born.
Unfortunately, the first twin was born weak and all the energy it possesed transfered to his younger sister Dierki. Dierki now possesed the power over Life, Air and everything continously changing. She decided to soothe her elder Brothers fighting over the planet by lifting all the burning land Kaathi created up in the skies, far away from Wufizu's water realm. She filled the space between with her own element - the Air. Now that the Brother's realms were parted, they had no reason to fight.
Ikreid concentrated all the energy he had left to sustain life in himself, but he had no power to create as his Siblings could. He followed his Twin sister and learned the mystery of Life from her, helping her with creation the Gaians, the new inhabitants of the planet. But, unlike the Siblings, the Gaians had no energy that would keep them alive forever. Their bodies grew old and stopped working in time, but the souls remained trapped inside. Ikreid saw the suffering of the Gaians and asked his Brother Kaathi to make him a weapon with which he could free the souls from the useless bodies but not damage them in process. Kaathi granted him his wish and Ikreid could finally help the unfortunate souls.
Up to these days, Ikreid roams the Gaia Planet, freeing the souls, leading them to the Faraway island, where they can live a new life until their energy merges with the one of the Planet itself. "

Very very pagan feel to this God/Godling. I like it...I like it a lot.

I'm very interested in the two beings with him...one seems to be cool and calm, while the other, to me, seems very malevolent. Something about its gaze speaks Malice. Are those just two souls, or something else?

Oh, and I LOVE the Sword! *Is a knife and sword user, after all* What's it made of? What type of sword is it?

Glad you do. He, obviously, doesn't have many fans :>

They are his helpers.
They carry souls that are exhausted or can't reach the Faraway island by themselves. The creatures are just empty shells, the dead Gaian souls switch in the body to help Ikreid with his work.

Ooh, you're asking too much, really.
It's made of something-like metal, forged in the very core of the planet by the God of Fire and Soil himself. Sturdy, but very light (as you can't ask almost-dead Gods to carry something too heavy with them)

Cool, on all counts! And I'll be his fan!

*Sets up with a huge palm leaf and begins fanning him*
