yeah if they ever do make an eldest they're gonna have some serious issues because of all the important but missed out stuff :s. i hate that. i mean, i was so excited about the movie and it's my favourite book, but now i doubt they'll make an eldest. and brisingr! that would make such an epic movie!

This series had so much potencial! But that's what happens when you don't know the whole story and try to change it on your own. If they just followed the book... It sucks now, cause i don't know, how in the hell they can make it work with eldest and brisingr. But if they don't, Eragon movie will be not finished and left like that. What a waste!

yeah, i mean, they could've at least read the book! the director just went and spoke to chris about it, so only knew a few basics :/ i mean, the begining wasn't far off, but then...it spiralled downwards (apart from the murtagh bits lol, even though they weren't technically right either ^^) yeah :/ i wish they'd give it a shot anyway though

Hey, guess what? In polish tv they're about to show the movie. I was very excited after reading the books so my mom is going to watch it and then maybe read the books but i doubt she'll want to do it after watching the movie

Don't spoil anything for me, I just stated reading Eldest... my friend borrowed it before I got a chance to read it, then they lost it, and I got it back a few weeks ago.

God, replacing Murtagh with frikkin Roran in "Eldest"...and then having Murtagh show up and the end to reveal that all this time, he's been going through something that was 110 times more interesting that anything we saw Eragon or Roran doing for all 900 pages of that book...OK rant over.
Anyway, YES. Team Murtagh. (Though Angela, Solumbum, and Nasuada don't suck, IMO. But they'd be cooler if they were on Team Murtagh.)

I don't know or remember anything about the forsword (I have not read book 3).
Roran, he was not a bad character IMO. I just hate how he replaced Murtagh. Next to Eragon, I also didn't feel that Roran was interesting enough to be the sidekick, because Eragon was already such an average-man-type hero (aside from the magic; I mean, by his personality and past). Maybe if Eragon was gone altogether, and Roran and Murtagh were the two main characters, that'd be more interesting. Actually, that'd be WAY more interesting. Ordinary guy with a heroic personality and a magical guy with a questionable personaltiy, that'd be way more interesting than the typical magic hero protagonist...but I'm just blabbing now.
Okay, my yapping aside, yes. Muragh rocks.

In fairness, I have heard that Brisinger is far better than the other two books. That there is much more happening, and that it's less slow. However, I heard that Murtagh's part is very small, and that's why I haven't picked it up yet.

In the movie they change colors, because in a couple of scenes they were clearly grey. In the books I'm not sure, but I'm assuming they're brown like Eragon, since they are supposed to look almost identical.

Though Garrett has kinda grayish blue eyes. Reason the appear hazel or green some time in the movie, his eyes do that in every movie he's been in as far as I've seen.
