Finally. I've been working on this for God knows how long. It still didn't turn out as I pictured it in the beginning, but it all comes down to skills.This submission was completely made in Photoshop with the exception of the sunset picture in the background which can be found here [link]
It's obvious to me that I've reached a dead end, which is why I've slowly started to learn how to use 3DS MAX. Hopefully as I develop my skills to create abstract art, I'll be able to come up with a better version of this wallpaper.
Not much more to add, except that there's a pretty deep message embedded into this. Most spiritual seekers will recognize it (I hope) It's more of a word puzzle, but if you manage to put the pieces together and you've read about each subject, I'm sure you'll be able to figure out the message I was trying to send
I'd love to get some comments and suggestions as to how I could improve this for the next release. If not, thanks for taking the time to view it

Just took a quick introduction course to text and image from the graphics design department, but that's about it. My own department (communication studies) doesn't allow me to take too many courses outside my own field. Bummer
Most of the stuff I know, I've learned on my own or from other artists right here on DA.

I think that the horiziontal does clash with the diagonals that you have going. I also agree that the text on the right is a bit much...it just seems so out of place and ... blah I guess. I do like the treatment with the heading or call out toward the bottom left. Good work

the whole texting seems to be too much apart from the picture, like its a new piece above it. maybe you should have tryed something parallell to the objects on the underlying image. the serif fonts arent fitting good with the title fonts indeed. nice colours though, good work with the photo and the colors of those diagonal "lines".. gives a feeling of reflective walls..
