Description
Name: Bulborb LarvaScientific name: Oculus kageyamii larva (formerly Oculus Bambinii)
Family: Grub-Dog
Despite being invertebrates, Bulborbs are one of the few kinds that are born live rather than hatch from eggs. While it's natural colors have yet to appear, and lacking legs at this stage, it's far more independent than other juvenile creatures, capable of seeking out sustenance without the aid of nearby adults. They're surprisingly aggressive, attacking anything they consider food without hesitation. This is surprising given their frailty. It doesn't take much to kill one of these larva, who's corpses decay quickly due to a thin skin and poor immune system. As such, few reach their first molt, and it's probably why Empress Bulblaxes constantly give birth to more larva. As for why they're so ravenous, it's my theory that they have a high metabolism, requiring them to constantly seek out nourishment. Its only after they molt for the first time and become Albino Dwarf Bulborbs that their metabolism stabilizes and slows to the point where they don't need to hunt constantly. The process usually happens a little over a week of the larva being born.

Valkyra's comment: Part of me feels a little bad about killing these things, especially when they dissolve away afterwards. But... if we're gonna see this through, we have to keep pushing forward.
Phoenix's comment: Having to fight these guys is always a chore, cause when you see one, there's several dozen behind it. On top of dealing with an Empress afterwards.
Drago's comment: I don't see why big bro and big sis make these guys a big deal. I've lost count of how many of these guys I've punched out.
Amber's comment: I personally think these guys are kinda cute. Kinda makes me wanna take one of these squishy guys back home when we're done with all this. ...On second thought, that's a bad idea. They'll grow up to be a big Bulborb someday, and then what are we gonna do with it?
Debbie's comment: I've know a Bulborb the others called Geoff since he was like this. Cute, but yeah, he's gonna get bigger before too long
