Description
So been debating on whether or not to color the shadowed lineart or the regular lineart. I was experimenting with shadow lineart because I felt like doing something different. Even though I think it looks good I'm still not too sure. I'm a complete novice trying to do something like this it seems. I haven't done shadow line art in such a long time though and this was when I was starting out drawing anime.Related content

Shadow line art looks fine how it is, I think you should go with the first one for coloring.

I think that it really depends on how you want to colour it.
I personally like both. But I think that shadow lineart is used a lot in american comics. Maybe the first lineart would suit this better?

I was thinking the same. The good thing about PSD files is that there are layers and turning off the shadow layers is easy to compare how it looks.

That's good. So have you decided on which one you'll use?

right now just coloring it without the shadow. And then going to turn on the shadow line and do a compare like I did with this one. I mean wouldn't hurt to have two versions I think.

This might sound kinda silly, but what is shadow lineart? Is it the thicker lines?

Not generally thicker lines, more using black to be the shadows instead of layering colors on multiply layers. I suppose a better explanation is lining artwork to look like marvel/dc style line work.

The shadow lineart already has some shading to it, adding color would only make it look more awesome.
