Personal Information
Appearance - He is a short but sturdy warrior with a bushy tail and small paws, his fur is quite long and thick helping to keep him warm and is almost pure white with greyish blue markings from his Russian Blue heritage, the markings consist of a large stripe over his left eye and a small spot around his right eye. His right ear and front leg are striped as is the back of his right hind leg. His back has a thin stripe running down which separates into thicker stripes running down his body. His tail also has flame like markings part of his name sake. His eyes are a stunning moss green.
Scent - Damp Moss
Scars - A small scar on his forehead received after running into a cliff in the escape from the flood.
Personality Type - Assertive Consul
History - Dewdrop's parents were almost pure-bred Russian Blue cats, they were chased from there twolegs home after they died in a car accident. Dewdrop's mother was already pregnant and gave birth to a litter of kits of which Dew was the only survivor due to her mother being too weak and hungry. The former kittypets were unable to cope in the wild and left their daughter in Highclan were she grew up. Throughout her kithood she always looked up to an older apprentice Grasspaw later Grasseyes and they later fell in love and became mates. Dewdrop gave birth to one kit who was named Mosskit for his eyes.Personality - Mossblaze is usually calm and likes to get along with others, he often tries to befriend many of his clanmates. He has a strong sense of humor and enjoys teasing others and making fun of them. He is well known for his practical jokes of which Badgerstreak is often the target. He often nicknames anycat he likes usually to annoy them more. When provoked he is very fiery and stubborn he won't do something he doesn't want to do when forced to, very loyal he will protect his clan and family with his life.
Background
Mosskit was always a playful bundle of joy and laughter, he befriended Kestrelkit and the bossy daughter of the clans deputy Talonkit. Mosskit had a happy kithood with his parents until the death of his father Grasseyes in an avalanche, the grieving Dewdrop found comfort in a rogue named Dray, after becoming pregnant with his kits she left the clan taking Mosskit with her. Dray was harsh to Mosskit and when his own kits were born he was very disappointed. He had only pretended to love Dewdrop as she was easy to manipulate and he wanted to raise a strong kit with his blood, he hated the clans and honestly wanted to get rid of them. Both kits had inherited their mothers small stature. Dray murdered Dewdrop but Moss escaped with his younger siblings who he named Fly and Butterfly. He left them by a twoleg monster and left to find Highclan again. Butterfly became a kittypet while Fly was raised in a loner family.
Returning to his clan he was emotionless and cold, he became an apprentice joining Kestrelpaw and Talonpaw. His mentor Crossedheart was cheerful and always trying to get him to lighten up along with his two friends, it wasn't until the end of his apprenticeship slightly prolonged due to his lack of enthusiasm, he lightened up after Crossedheart died in front of him after an arguement caused him to run off. Crossedheart followed him and saved him from a dog.
He became Mossblaze due to his fiery temper and continued to be a loyal warrior especially when Talonwing became leader.

Arcticrose - She's come so far from the frail little flower I thought I would always need to shield from the world, her tongue has even sharpened and she sounds like her mother at times, she still has moments where she falters and stutters but she's become a wonderful mother and has moved to the elders recently to be with Moonflare. I couldn't be prouder of her.

I honestly don't know which is stranger at times but Chillriver has a strong heart and mind despite his attitude, he's a good warrior and though she can be a little oblivious Arcticrose loves her sons with all her heart and I trust her judgement, I'm not sure I agree with her on Chillriver being our future leader though...

Solarstorm - Little Sunny, she's an amazing she-cat and she does indeed shine as brightly as her name, I know her blindness has been tough on her but I'm here and I will be till the day I die, Shiningwing didn't treat her right and as his mentor I feel like I owe her something. I admit I enjoy being relied on haha, it just makes me feel like I have a purpose when I can lend a shoulder for a friend to lean on.

Shiningwing - That kid. My first apprentice and by far the worst. I always wanted him to fix his attitude, he betrayed poor Solar and did some Starclan awful things but in the end it's a damn shame he had to go the way he did. I never expected him to go before myself, in a rockfall no less. I'll never forget the arrogant bastard, I hate him yet I can't just forget about his stupidity and his attitude, damn him.

What was he honestly thinking?
After taking a walk with Jaywish, he'd decided to at least confront the lesser of two evils, if one were to refer to this dilemma as that. For about two moons now, Moonflare had been gathering strong feelings for a certain white warrior, and he hadn't told her yet. Though, apparently they must have been rather obvious, considering Solarstorm and Jaywish had confirmed that, at the moment, he wasn't high on Mossblaze's friendly list. If he hadn't made a good impression on the tom, well, he could may as well forget even thinking that he could tell Arcticrose. As he walked with the small grey tabby, Jaywish was chattering on and on about something that had happened with one of the kits, Shardkit, Sharpkit, whoever, and how she was always coming to visit and how dare she visit Solarstorm more than me because I'm her grandmother not that I don't mind considering Sunny hardly ever gets visitors, yada yada yada.
He'd tuned her out by the time that they'd returned to camp, and he decided to escort her back to the elder's den, helping Sunny along the way, who was watching as Shiningwing was chatting with one of his son's. Moonflare felt a stab of anger, but it bubbled down seeing how happy Sunny was. What had happened, that she was smiling with this dazed look upon her face? He kept that thought in mind as he stepped into the elders den, saying a few kind farewells to his sister and her friend before looking to the white tom he'd been meaning to speak to.
"Excuse me, Mossblaze, sir?" Moonflare wasn't quite used to being so formal with cats, as he was often friends with whomever he spoke to, so his words were a bit strangely phrased. His amber eyes flickered nervously as he mustered up a half smile.

After a day of hunting Mossblaze was resting in his carefully made nest, he didn't have to hunt anymore and he knew that but it wasn't in his interests to lay about while the younger cats fed him, he wasn't crippled or anything. Well not physically anyway. Arcticrose had just left, she seemed a lot more cheerful these days a state he hadn't seen since her mother was alive during the two or three first moons of his kits lives.
The other elders were eating one of his catches and he watched them fondly, it felt nice to share with his denmates and since there was only five altogether they were a fairly close group. He had a pidgeon by his side, still warm. Jaywish and Solarstorm were out at the moment so he had saved some prey for the two of them. When three cats entered the den he turned his head to greet Solarstorm and offer the bird when Moonflare's voice caught his attention.
"Firstly sir?" he inquired he felt a slight bubble of anger at this cat who he knew had somewhat captured his only daughter's heart. "Secondly, can I help you with something?" he narrowed his moss coloured eyes.

When he had thought that he was going to have a nice talk with the tom, he had all the intentions of not making a complete fool out of himself. However, that idea vanished rather quickly at the tone in the older tom's voice. The anxious flicker in his amber eyes flared up for a second, swiveling his ears over to where his sister and her friend were, catching them quietly speaking to one another. Flicking them forward again, Moonflare tilted his head a bit, shuffling his paw a bit in the dirt.
"Ah, yes. I thought that since- Oh. I was trying to be polite. I'm sorry." The chocolate tabby internally kicked himself, as this was going absolutely south of what he had wanted. At the very least, he wanted to make friendly conversation. His ringed tail curled a bit with embarrassment. "Sunny told me that you were a friend of her's. She said that you helped her a bit. So, I suppose this is partially a thank you for looking out for my little sister." He had intended to thank the white tom earlier on, but that was before he'd started to feel more than friendship towards this other tom's daughter. (Not that that had been intentional, either, really. It had clicked one morning while he had woken up, and his first thought had gone to, 'I wonder what Arcticrose is doing.')
Solarstorm had told him that Mossblaze was rather friendly. Though, he supposed that that would be for anyone other than the one who had been mooning after his daughter. That was probably why he wasn't being the happiest of campers at the moment.

He narrowed his eyes watching the younger yet larger tom. Moonflare of course, Solarstorm's brother. Maybe, he hoped, this conversation was about her and not his still young daughter. It was true that he was very fond of Solarstorm so he expected hopefully that Moonflare's only interest was in the wellbeing of his sister. He was after all her denmate.
"I see, polite." he felt a flicker of amusement which quickly vanished. "Well you don't have to thank me for looking after a friend. Sunny, I suppose we have something in common huh?"
"That and a love for my little snow flower but I believe your love is a bit different from mine..." he muttered very quietly under his breath.
"If that's all you came for," he mewed standing up and reaching for the dead bird he had at his paws "I need to give this to Sunny and Jaywish."

His eyebrows raised, and he felt a little bit of panic arise in his mind and a small prickle of fur that seemed to itch all of a sudden. Moonflare had come for more than that. And hearing the comment, the father already knew whom he had also come to talk about. He'd meant to say something different, but the words had all fallen out way too fast for him to register how idiotic he sounded. Really, how did Solarstorm do it?
"Well, I do try my hardest not to make Sunny's friends mad. Last time I did that, I had to sit through an entire session of Jaywish's jokes, and she sat on my tail the entire time." He laughed fondly at the memory, and nodded a bit. "It's just a little nickname from when we were apprentices. I suppose we do at least have that in common."
Moving aside he nodded out of politeness. "I'm sure they'll appreciate that." Moonflare bit his tongue. He had to somehow get this tom to warm up to him. Or else - if he ever worked up the guts to tell her - he'd never get the blessing that he wanted, and besides that he wanted to be his friend. "Oh, our of curiosity, how is the elder's den treating you?" Oh no. bad choice. What did you do. Baaaad Moonflare.

Mossblaze stopped, he looked back with his eyes narrower than ever. "E-exuuuse me?" he mewed his voice suddenly taking on a very high pitched note. "I d-didn't retire to this place because I wanted too. I was starting to lack the, err skill things, needed to continue being a- a warrior. I'm afraid of the dark." he could tell his voice was breaking, the fact ashamed him but he was too angry to care. He continued in a whisper after throwing his catch to the two younger elders through bloodshot eyes.
"And enclosed spaces, I went mad in those tunnels. I'm also afraid of being alone and after her death I thought I would retire. With a new leader I thought new warriors... Well she couldn't have got it from her mother..."
He swallowed he could tell to his relief only the dark furred warrior had heard him.
"If you've come to talk about my daughter go ahead." he mewed in an uncomfortable smile.

The fiery tones set in Mossblaze's voice, and the impending crack, sent Moonflare's mind reeling. He'd struck a nerve that he hadn't meant to. In his younger moons, maybe, just maybe, he would have mad fun of the older tom or relish in his pain, but just hearing the shame in his voice was enough for Moonflare to be silent. The chocolate tabby's smile fell as he looked away, ashamed himself for upsetting the elder. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean... What I had meant to ask-... I'm so sorry, I'm absolutely rubbish at this." He mumbled under his breath, anxiety flickering up once more within his chest.
"If I'm being completely candid, Mossblaze, that was my original intention." He admitted sheepishly. Clearing his throat, he nodded a bit as to steady himself. "Though, I don't think it's entirely appropriate at the moment. I've been meaning to meet you, formerly, at the very least, because of what I heard from what Solarstorm told me. I've not been the best at keeping track of thin- I'm rambling, I'm sorry. I've never been the best at talking."
Shaking himself and then finally looking the other in the eyes, he started speaking again. "When I lost my friend, you know the fellow, Dragonfire? Well, I didn't realize how short life was until I lost him. And the stars curse me if I don't at least meet the one tome my sister speaks so highly of."

"Just forget about it." he replied darkly and looking down at his paws which he shifted awkwardly in a manner resembling a smaller white she-cat. "Just forget all of it." he spoke firmly and tucked his bushy tail under his paws. He looked up at the taller tom once again, he noted Moonflare was talking formally. Was this some way of trying to impress the elder. Mossblaze wondered how he would have spoken to Snowtail's father or even mother had they been alive those many moons ago.
"Well I'm glad Sunny speaks of me." he smiled weakly apparently proud of his weaker impression of the warrior. "Well I doubt highly that the stars will curse you. As for Dragonfire I'm sorry for your loss, I know what's like to lose. You've had...two mates have you?" he was no longer afraid of offending Moonflare and he was adamant on seeing if he was suitable for his delicate daughter, being somewhat a player and all.
"Solarstorm is one of the most amazing she-cats I have ever met, she keeps smiling despite not being able to see her children and their faces..."

His amber eyes once again flickered with anxiety, and his tail curled dangerously behind him as he decided to sit. Oh, certain mentions were rather sore spots for him. Closing his eyes, he nodded a bit, a look of regret crossing his face. Looking to the side, glancing at his sister, who was sharing the fresh-kill Mossblaze had given her, he reminded himself to keep himself in check. He'd promised her he'd be better at that. He was getting better at it, but the mention of those two always seemed to rub him the wrong way. "I won't deny the truth. But, last I checked, we weren't particularly talking about them. Scarflower was a good cat, but she made me promise to be better, and to at least take care of Solarstorm, and I've done that. Shadeblossom was happier with her first mate, Fallendreams. She and I agreed it was more of us latching onto someone. We agreed it was best we break it off before it got too serious." The golden gazed tom leaned forward a bit, tilting his head at the slightest degree. His deep voice seemed to go a few octaves lower as he calmly replied, not a hint of anger, but instead hurt being the only emotion upon his face. "If you are worried that I'll hurt Arcticrose, I don't think that should be a worry. If you thought I would be unloyal, then that is a complete lie. If I got angry, enraged by what Shiningwing did to my sister, and if my heart shattered every time I saw how that affected her, do you honestly think I'd do that to Arcticrose? If anything, if there were absolutely any idea that I would ever harm her, or compromise her, please, I give you the permission to strike me dead." Moving away, shrugging a bit, Moonflare shook his head. "But, I promise you, I won't hurt her. She is a very sweet cat, and I'm happy at the moment just being her friend. If anything happens, and I assure you that it won't, I'll leave her be. I'll act as if nothing happened, and I'll let her do what she wants. I only want her to be happy, and if that means that I need to be out of her life, then I'm ready to do that." Closing his eyes once more, he continued.
"Solarstorm is the strongest cat I know. If it'd been me, in her place, well, I don't know what I would do. I know how proud she is of her children, and just how full of life she is. I sometimes wish that it had been me. Not a day goes by that I don't... If she gets hurt again, well, things may not be too pleasant. Anyways..."

The elders eyes widened momentarily at the change in attitude from the tom and considered his words honestly, taken aback he started to laugh. "You!" he laughed "You are really something, yes I did see how the kids actions affected you, I saw how they affected everyone." Mossblaze paused to look at Solarstorm "And you know, I blame myself every single day for what your sister went through." He sighed.
"I know it sounds a little selfish but if there's a chance keeping her from love will benefit her in the end. Well I'll take that chance." he flicked his tail towards Moonflare "And you, I know what it's like to feel responsible. I don't know if the kid ever felt guilt but I'm sure you would. Can you tell me straight that you would protect her, even from yourself if need be?"

Moonflare smiled gently, casting a glance to Solarstorm, who was wrapped up in a conversation with Hollowgaze. He and her had more or less adopted him into the family when they had met his brother... And hearing the honest ring in Mossblaze's voice made him feel... Proud? Safer? Stars knew he wish he'd been able to protect her from the pain.
Returning his eyes to the elder, he nodded again. "I would gladly protect her from anything and everything. Especially me. If it's not too forward, I would die for her..." His voice had gotten softer everything about him seemed a lot more gentle.

Mossblaze, didn't speak at first deciding instead to look into his eyes, if a cats words could lie then their eyes were the best place to look. "You know..." he mewed "You're very dramatic." he laughed.
"Don't get me wrong that's not always bad, in fact maybe good, Artie always been into the mushy love stuff, her one true love and all. Love at first sight that kinda thing."
"Oh this whole me laughing thing doesn't mean I necessarily like you, I don't. Buuut. I don't hate you, not anymore anyway. If you think you can make her fall in love with you-" "Which you've already done" he whispered under his breath "-try it and if she says yes then what can I do? Maybe I'll get a few good things out of this in the end." Leaning in close he whispered harshly.
"Oh but break that little promise and I'll break something too understand?"

Moonflare slightly reddened at the dramatic part, which he had been told by Solarstorm he never seemed to have an end of, but then again he learned it from her, so, it wasn't technically his fault.
