Gojira is a quite friendly (if you like death metal) music band... It still works. ^_^
(Google "gojira+flying whale" and you'll get what I thought. Personaly I prefer the song "born in winter" but "flying whale" is still one of their best song...)

Is this inspired by the 52-hertz whale?

No. I was halfway done through this before I realized I found out stuff about the 52 Hz whale a while back. So had decided to use that as an inspiration specifically for that whale and not this one. Need to do justice to it. I was very annoyed though. -_-
