Sure, I suppose. I have enabled print on this, with the larger file size of course. Do let me know how the print looks when you get it! I would love to see it!

Fantasia, that Mickey mouse musical? Or is there another one I am missing

You're welcome.
You're on the right track there. Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 were movies by Disney that had a lot of music (mostly classical) sided with amazing animation. The Sorcerer's Apprentice with Mick and Yen Sid is one of those. Your deviation reminds me of another one with a group (herd?) of blue whales emerging from the ocean and swimming in the air and the clouds.

I think I only saw that Sorcerer's Apprentice part of Fantasia as a kid. And part of the of that one where the huge demon comes up from a mountain on YouTube. Will have to watch the whole thing someday.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the demon one was called, but I've seen the demon as a boss in a couple of the Kingdom Hearts games. Many of the other clips are cool too. I think all just rely on the music and animation for the story rather than words or singing. If I remember right, the only lines spoken come from the composer of the music.

Yeah, if you play some of the Kingdom Hearts games, you get to meet Yen Sid (the one who trained Mickey), and that demon (as a boss fight), but Fantasia isn't much more involved than that in the game series.

Kingdom Hearts is a Disney Game or some other company's?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Taqresu650 In reply to phoenixleo [2016-07-25 23:57:15 +0000 UTC]
Yes and yes. It's a collaboration between Disney and Square Enix (Final Fantasy, The World Ends with You, etc.). The story, and some of the characters are original to the game, but many of the worlds and characters are Disney and Square Enix. www.youtube.com/watch?v=16RVRm…

You're welcome.
It makes since, because Square and Nintendo have worked together before. The first 6 Final Fantasy games were on Nintendo systems, as well as later FF games like the Theatrhythm titles, the Crystal Chronicles, and even a few KH games. Cloud (FF7's protagonist) is even in the newest Super Smash Bros. games.

Taqresu650 In reply to phoenixleo [2016-08-27 18:50:09 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, a few of them do. There's Cloud, Sepheroth, Tifa, Yuffie, Aerith, and Zack from Final Fantasy 7, Squall, Selphie, Seifer, and his gang from FF8, Tidus, Wakka, Auron, Yuna, Paine, and Rikku from FFX and FFX-2, Vivi from FF9, and Moogles (from almost all the games).

lol indeed. And you get the chance to fight some of them like in the Olympus Coliseum (a world based on the movie Hercules). Sepheroth tends to be an optional boss harder than most. But you could also end up in battles like facing Cloud and Leon (Squall Leonhart from FF8) at once.

Beautiful! This reminds me of a scene from a science fiction novel (from years ago) called "The Wind Whales of Ishmael" by Philip Jose Farmer.

Thank you!
I vaguely remember Ishmael as the name of the character in Moby Dick. But your comment opens a new door to the idea of space whales!

Hadalis In reply to phoenixleo [2016-07-07 03:09:23 +0000 UTC]
Ishmael is indeed the narrator of the original MOBY DICK and he is also a key character in the Farmer story I mention above. As for space whales (SPOILERS!)...they play an important part of a DOCTOR WHO episode called "The Beast Below" (Matt Smith, year one...aka Series 5 of "Nu-Who"). Again, a lovely image you have posted!

I am fine with spoilers so lay it all on me!
A few of my online friends love Doctor Who! The only thing I know about it are those weeping angels that one apparently can't blink and err..those robots daleks and the telephone booth!
I have a feeling the whale carried people around or something?
What do you mean by Nu-Who? Is he not liked by most fans?
Thanks once again!

Hadalis In reply to phoenixleo [2016-07-12 02:45:00 +0000 UTC]
The spoiler 'twas pretty easy to guess: yes, it is a space whale, and the last of its kind, that the British population has constricted a space ship/city atop in the far future. There are a few plot twists and complications involving this situation that I'll let you see ("The Beast Below") so as not to blow the entire story.
The WHO stories do involve a time and space traveler, the TARDIS (blue police call box for traveling times and space), Daleks, all sorts of other assorted nasty creatures...human traveling companions...and yes, the Weeping Angels from "Blink" (David Tennant years and later with Matt Smith). Some would say enjoying the show is an acquired taste. Folks love it...or just don't get it. Not for everyone. Humor and horror in equal parts...and still a "family show" for the BBC.
Oh, Matt Smith is very beloved with the fans! The term "Nu-WHO" is a nickname by fans of the classic series (1963 - 1989) for the "new years" of WHO (2005 - present) with Mr. Eccleston, Tennant, Smith, Hurt, and now Capaldi.
Hope that helps! Off to peruse more of your Gallery....

Last of its kind makes it a sad thought. It has a very poetic touch, but still, really depressing.
I have caught glimpses of some episodes when they were airing, or halfway through when switching channels, but considering the number of seasons there are, it feels like a very overwhelming and daunting task (and that's coming from someone who has yet to watch through the whole Star Wars parts).
Ok, that Nu-WHO thing is a good thing then.
Why was it not running continuously and cut off? Do the stories and plotlines still pick up well even after the break?
Thanks for the heads ups on these!
