To think of this merely as a man embracing a tree is preposterous; one, just because of how insipid it sounds, and two, because of how much above and beyond the picture is from whatβs actually going on in it! I don't know which is more beautiful; the tree or the man. What a perfect chin-line, straight lips and a strong neck. Then, the veins and knots of the tree are almost as imperfectly beautiful as the manβs stubble or the crevices in his shoulder. That slight bulge in the trunk meets with his adam's apple perfectly. The tone, the structure, everything is very emotive and professional. Much, much kudos.
