I didn't think I had enough to say until I began to comment, but, now, I do, so here's a critique instead (=
I am not much of a people photographer, so these are mostly just general observations and opinions.
First thing, I really don't think I'd ever want to be hit by her. A lot of people find muscular women unattractive, but I think with her hair down, it adds a nice feminine gesture to the photo. I also like the background you used it has a 'sporty' feel to it.
There are a few things I noticed, first, I think personally, that it would have given a stronger sense of the punch if her elbow had not been cut off. It feels to me like a part of the hit is gone without it.
Also, I like the expression on her face, it's not raging angry, but it's fierce. It's a good point. I do think though, if she were looking at you, it'd give a greater intensity to the photo, especially since looking at the photo, she's appearing to be aimed at hitting you.
The lighting in this piece is quite lovely, it highlights different aspects of her body very nicely. I like how you captured good focus with a sense of movement and flow as well. I think it adds quite a bit of realism to this photo as well.
Wonderful work, by both you, and the model (=e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="

Sorry for the delay in response, I don't check for comments on a daily basis. First the setup: She is standing on a platform to give her power. It is shot in the gym where she works out, I just picked a wall that could serve as a backdrop. To her right is an Elinchrom Octabank with a profoto monolight, to the left is a soft box with an elinchrom quadra. Shooting with a 70-200mm VRII Nikon lens. I asked her to throw a hard punch, and she did it maybe 20-30 times. Each time, I would try to catch her movement, eyes open, hair movement, body tension(she had to flex), all in the shot. We did it over and over again until we had what I wanted. I agree with the comment about the elbow, and I wanted the glove to be in your face. Her expression was "her", I didn't ask or give any guidance on that. I did want her punch elevated so that I could see her shoulder muscles, as well as the arm and stomach. It was tricky catching the punch since she is trained in boxing and therefore very fast at throwing a punch. I didn't do any slow motion on this, just wasn't real enough and did not have that element of power in the pose. I did slow down/hold some other poses but the power/reality impact was lost. She is very pretty as you can see from other images, but this particular shot didn't make her look attractive, simply fit and determined. In the post processing, I used tonal contrast in Nik to highlight her muscles in the stomach, shoulders, and arms. In some of the other images, I did more post processing with the eyes, soft focus, etc. but not in this one. I had intended to work her out before I took this shot in order to add some "sweat" to the image and shoot this from the floor up. But time limits kept me from trying this. So, that's how it was set up and shot. Thanks for taking the time to give such thoughtful comments, again sorry I did not respond sooner but I don't check that often. HoldTheeyeImages.com has other work, interested in any other comments you have thanks for your time.

it's quite okay
I can see that she was actually working out, which added to the photo to be honest.
It does have a very natural feel. Nice work all together.
