This is Ralph giving his friend Vargr ( who may be a tad on the gigantic side ) some chin scratchies.I started this off in gauche but I kept wussing on the paint lay-down so I took out the acrylics. I haven't painted in years so this is kind of a refresher. There's colored pencil in here too.
Jeez, the scanner doesn't like dealing with orange or yellow though. Those colors don't look as violent on the original as they do this scan.
Ralph is mine. Vargr is Vargr's.

That "wuffie" reminds me a bit of Falkor from Never-ending Story.

I sorta drew him waaaay too big. Thankfully the character's " author " told me that Vargr can change sizes and this was pretty close to his large size.

Changing size is a plus. Especially when you have to buy clothing at the mall.

I was starting to scratch my own chin when I saw this. It was slightly odd.

Gauche is okay to work with... I guess... it's been a while. I usually wound up using it along with watercolor. I just got tired of the layering though. I know that sometimes black gauche would crack when it dried if it was applied too think. You'd have to add glue to it. My art school was big on gauche for some reason though.
