Description
Howler from the Drac Pack. Info ---> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drak_Pacβ¦Even though this show was from my " era " as far as Saturday morning cartoons were concerned, I never watched the Drac Pack. But I always liked this guy from the old ads for the show featured in comic books from the 80s. I did just skim through a few episodes on Youtube... it's as good as any Hanna Barbara show was back then. Howler's voice is somewhat unfortunate.
If he were my character, I'd never stop drawing him puh-personally.

Β I don't think I've actually seen the cartoon, but I remember the ads in the comics, too. Awesome rendition.Β Β

Β I've noticed that there are quite few cartoons I've learned existed thanks to comics ads, and, recently, the internet,Β that I never saw back then. It's either because I was too young to have remembered or cared to watch them, or it might have been that some cartoons were only shown on certain stations. A regional thing.Β Β
Β
Β The Real Ghostbusters is an example. I remember the Filmation Ghostbusters pretty well... I think it was syndication on some channel in the afternoons. I did have a few of the Real Ghostbusters figures, but I don't remember seeing that cartoon at all.Β Β
Β
Β I also learned a while ago that there was a Dukes Of Hazard cartoon, simply called The Dukes. It had at least some of the actors from the television series providing the voices, but I don't think I had ever heard of that cartoon until a year or so ago.Β Β

Oh yeah. I did see the Dukes cartoon a million years ago... hmmm... come to think of it, I think it may have only been shown up in Cleveland where my grandparents live and not down in Columbus where I live. As I recall, it was the Coy & Vance Dukes on the cartoon & not Bo & Luke. They were racing around the world. Man, I haven't thought about that in ages.

Groovy Ghoulies I did watch but I don't recall any specific episodes. I mostly remember the ending credits.

I just remember seeing them in a cartoon with the Looney Tunes.Β Thought that's where they originated until I grew up and discovered other wise.Β

Hmmm... I think that's what I used to watch Saturday mornings when Drac Pack aired. Looney Tunes and Super Friends. ... and the newer Flintstones cartoons.

Huh, pretty cool, I have never heard/seen of the Drac Pack, the retro cartoons that I've seen are Rocky and Bullwinkle, Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, Mr. Magoo, Jonny Quest, Muppet Babies, Ducktales, and Darkwing Duck.Β

It's pretty obscure. I don't think I even knew about it when it aired.

fantastic work!
One of my favorite cartoons from the early eighties that I was so surprised to find!Β Y'know for a bit there, I thought his voice was done by the same guy who did Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I think Donatello was the Quik Bunny.
