Jaxxon is a tall, green rabbit dude from the very early issues of the original Marvel Star Wars comic book series. I did a little research because he looks a heck of a lot like Bucky O'Hare ( another non-Star Wars, green, space rabbit comic book character) but it seems that any similarities are a coincidence. One of Bucky O'Hare's creators did work on one issue of the original Marvel Star Wars but it was a few years after Jaxxon came & went. It'd be sweet if he showed up in the new movie. The new Disney-owned Marvel Star Wars comics seem to treat Jaxxon as a joke... which kinda sucks. I just read the old comics and he really was alright. Especially in his last appearance in issue 16... unless he shows up again later & I'm not aware of it yet. I'm still reading all the original Marvel Star Wars comics.
Supposedly, Hasbro was gonna make Jaxxon as he was like a runner-up in a fan choice poll. It'd be cool to see you make a custom version though.

I remember this story because it was so much fun to read. Here's Han Solo and Chewie trying to just deal with their own problems when they are asked to save a town. Jaxxon is one of the guys who signs up for the job ...

Yeah. I've finally started reading the old Marvel Star Wars comics. I think I've about found every issue. There's a Walt Simonson issue about Jaxxon and the other " star hoppers " that's actually really good. It's issue 16. I don't think any of the movie characters are even in that issue.

Hmmm... I'm trying to think if there were cat people in Star Wars. Ya know... I think... yeah! I think in one of the novels there's a race of ... tiger-like people. Man, I wonder what book that was from. I think it was from the 90s... or maybe it was one of the old Han Solo books.

I believe the "tiger people" were called Trianni, and one appeared in "Han Solo at Star's End". The droid Bollux is in that book too! I didn't know Bucky O'Hare's race lived in the Star Wars Universe until now though

This is wacky. I bought all the remaining issues from the original Marvel Star Wars series from eBay. Today, the last issue came in the mail, and it's full of cat people! Almost blew my mind.

Very cool, and does remind me of Bucky O'Hare. Thanks for the explanation. But then again, out there, you have a few pairs of cartoon characters who are similar, but not.....in the US in the late 70's they came up with a vampire duck called Quackula. The next decade, someone in the UK came up with Duckula. Both green vampire ducks. But similarity ends there!

No, I was talking about other "pairs of characters that resemble each other"...Duckula resembles Quackula. Both ducks. Both vampires. But otherwise very different.
