Ahhh... ya know, I dunno if I'd consider Titan AE to be underrated. It's not bad but the plot seems a bit contrived to me.

I don't think you know what underrated means.

Phraggle In reply to Kairou [2011-07-17 22:33:44 +0000 UTC]
Maybe. Lemme check. Underrated- " to rate or evaluate too low; underestimate. ". I think that's how I'd define it. Maybe it is underrated. It all depends on the under or over-rater.

Well it was a box office bomb for the most part and it hasn't sunk into pop culture the way other films have. It's more a cult classic. It's not the Lion King or Star Wars.

There seem to be a decent amount of Preed & Stith fans out there. I personally felt the plot was a bit weak.

Well the furry community would certainly love them. He actually makes a joke about furries and deviant art in the first episode.
And yeah, the plot is a bit meh. But its still beautiful and a fun ride.

I think they do actually. I posted Preed at Fur Affinity as well.
Yeah, I like the ice crystal part a lot.

If he wasn't in Titan AE, I'd really have no attachment to the movie.... 'cept maybe, slightly to Stith.

OMG, Phrag, I cannot believe it. Preed! Seriously, I thought I was the *only* person in the known universe that liked Him. Nathan Lane did a great job as His voice. LOL, the way He acted, and His voice, Nate, lol, made me think the character was... a *homo* (like me, lol) Too cool, Phrag. Too cool...

Heh. Preed is prolly the only reason why Titan is still kinda in my awareness. And yeah, he does seem like he'd swing that way.

You should draw that bird-faced woman with giant legs...
Her pivotal line was "Tools on the floor!" ...or something.

I can't tell you how fascinating I find commentary, one of the best things about DVD. That one in particular is a lot of fun to listen to. Just to plug OT a bit, most any commentary involving Tim Burton is a HOOT! And though a lot of the PIXAR ones are kinda just boring commercials for the studio, "The Incredibles" and "Finding Nemo" are very worthwhile.

It's even kinda fun to listen to actor commentary but director & artist commentary is usually more informative. The commentary on my Rock & Rule DVD is nice too.

They do kinda give me the willies... cuz they look fragile & possibly stinky.
