Oh yeah. That may have been before I did Ned with the " object ". There's some decent Ralphs on that page.

He looks mostly non-to-happy in this one.

Maybe he's tired of having his picture drawn. Where did you get that quote in your signature?

Perhaps but I can't seem to get enough of him.

It's a quote from Kahlil Gibran.

I can't either. That's why I draw him so much. He gets better with age.

I must've read that quote in one of my spirituality books or something.

Heh heh. I just scribble until there's no more room. I rarely ever draw on the back sides though... I do when the book is open all the way and not folded over so, it's like I'm drawing on the top instead of the back side... even though that's what I'm doing... if that makes sense. I sometimes worry that I draw too small.

When I'm at work, I like to keep my current page open so I can glance at it to kill the boredom & monotony.

I sometimes sketch in a book but I like to do most stuff on the computer...That’s something I really admire about your art is that it is in traditional media. On the computer you can fiddle around with the shapes and everything but when it is all on paper or canvas everything must be perfect right off the bat! So I think that’s really cool. I like using prisma colored pencils ok but markers were never my friend
But I have piles, upon piles of doodles and sketches…I bet you are the same way
And If you don't mind, may I ask where you work? Just out of curiosity

I've just not gotten around to doing much computer art. The term " traditional art " still tickles me. It's just the way I've always done it. Never considered myself a traditionalist. I dunno how I got into markers though. I just wanted some and made myself use them. I never really was taught how to use them though as they can be unforgiving at times. I've got doodles all over the place.

I just work at a screen printing place and I sling newspapers in the mornings. It's nothing really glamorous. I'm sometimes afraid to mention that though as lotsa people expect that I'm working for Hallmark or something. I'm inching ( and itching ) towards a career change though.

Well, the computer has its own set of difficulties (I don’t really use it to its full potential) but I still love the more β€œtraditional” approach. When I see your illustrations I always think it looks like it should be in a book, it’s just got that feel to it, you know?
…I commend you and your marker-powers, not everyone can work a set of markers! Do you use any old kind or do you have a favorite brand like Copic or something?
Oh, screen printing! That sounds like fun to me; I have been interested in that kind of stuff since I did a silk screening project once. I also had a friend who worked a place like that before, he always had custom shirts he would wear and I always thought that was neat. But I could easily see you working as a card designer, you definitely have the skills to get a job as a professional illustrator or whatever else you would want

I've got one or too pics near the beginning of my gallery that I colored in Photoshop. They kinda just looked like I did them with markers anyway though. And thanks. I'd like to see my stuff in book form some day.

Most of the markers I have are Prismacolor but, if Copic are the kind with 3 tips, I have a few of those too.

The print shop I work in is kinda like a garage operation owned by wealthy people so, it's relatively laid back and actually does pretty well. The big thing they do there is name tags for places like Wal*Mart, which is their big account. So, I've printed a ton of name badges. Like if you've been to Universal Studios within the last 9 or 10 years, chances are I printed all the employees' name tags. We do AMC theater, some Wendy' & McDonald's stuff, uhh... Kroger, I'm in the middle of a big Stop & Shop run right now. It's not bad for what it is.

But thanks again, I do wanna do more with my art though. It's just taken some thinking and soul searching to decide what.
