I have 2 versions of the first two GNs, with two different color jobs. And I met Wendy Pini at the San Diego Comic Con. It wasn't easy, but I managed to restrain myself from kissing her drawing hand.
I have Tyldak glaring down on my messy living room from the top of bookcase.

That's cool. When did you meet her?
HEY! I have Tyldak too... and Picknose.

I met her at the San Diego Comic Con. They were talking about the upcoming Elfquest movie. Before you get too excited about that, this was about 10 years ago.

They've been talking about that movie in some form forever it seems.

Yes. There's so much potential there, but somehow it never makes it to the altar. And look what DOES get made.

Well... I guess it says something that even a Smurfs movie can get made.. which, by the way, seems like it has the same plot as the proposed Fraggle Rock movie. I hope the powers that be take note of that. ( I'm not particularly fond of the supposed plot for the Fraggle flick... if I've never mentioned it before ).

I wish I could get ahold of the leaked script. I would read it just for the train wreck appeal. I hate the idea of taking them out of their caves and plopping them into the real world. WTF is it with movies like that? That made me weep back in the '80s when they did that with He-Man.

Fraggle Rock would make a great adventure movie... like Indiana Jones or something. And, because I can think the thought, it IS possible to do a Fraggle Rock movie that doesn't go out of the continuity and not confuse the movie-going non-fraggle-knowing pubic.
You mean the Courney Cox Heman movie?

This may be heresy, but I wouldn't mind seeing Pixar do a CGI Fraggle Rock movie. They'd craft it very lovingly, getting the textures right, and they know how to tell GOOD stories. They'd do it justice. And it seems more likely than a live-action movie by now.

That would be wonderful. I know fraggles are puppets but I have no issues with them being done CG. They could also do so much more that way.

Yep! As long as it's Pixar.. I wouldn't trust the other studios to do 'em justice. And, of course, the original puppeteers would have to be involved. For voices, of course, but I'd like them to do puppet versions of the scenes so the animators could see the puppets' mannerisms and animate them really acting like themselves.

Well, Pixar would be the cream of the crop but Dreamworks & Blue Sky aren't so bad.

Pixar is the one I'd trust to do them justice. The others, well... of course, not like any scenario is gonna happen anyway. :\

The thing about Pixar is that they're too... big. You hafta be waaaay up there to get their attention. But yeah, they WOULD do a good job though.

Hey, if I can fantasize about Pixar animating the Fraggles, I can assume that Disney wanted to work together with Henson the way they did with a bunch of other studios for Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
