Ralph used to smoke. I dunno if he does anymore... and he might drink.... but neither are the sort of things that exist on Earth.

Heh heh. I'm not sure if Ralph smokes anymore though. I used to make him smoke all the time... mostly cuz I don't and can't cuz I get sick when I do.

Hmm, I don't smoke but for some reason I find it to be quite the interesting trait in a character. I think he looks dignified with it placed in his hand, it doesnβt look low class on him but of course the decision is yours β he couldnβt have quite since 2003

I do too! I'm fascinated by smoking, but it makes me ill. I'm good at doing it though. I've smoked maybe a pack in my life but, it just makes me sick. Plus I feel bad for my lungs. They felt a little toasted the last time I had half a cigarette.
I'm still toying with their smoking habits. I'm not one of the anti-smoking types or anything. I won't let anyone smoke in my house or car but they can smoke anywhere else they want. I've been debating on creating some sort of pipe they might smoke.

Yes, cigarette smoke always gives me headaches! I know how you feel there; luckily I am not around it too often. But having a character that smokes kinda eliminates that problem 
That would be a really neat idea tho, to make up a new style of pipe or something. Some of the old style ones just look so classy, and you could probably get pretty creative with the shape and style too

Isn't there a 2nd type in that? It should be " quit " not " quite " right? Heh heh. 
Yeah, I'm thinking they have pipes that may look like they're smoking weed or something. Just in case you don't know, my characters aren't from Earth so, they've got some different things. I do have a way to explain why some of their clothes and stuff look Earthen though.

Heh heh. Ralph's story has been on & off idle for the past... almost 2 decades. I've been way too hard on myself as far as ideas go. I've been letting that way of thinking go though and have been coming up with some better ideas for him. Mostly what I have are pieces of ideas and a general theme/feeling of what Ralph's story is. But, in the past, I'd always been waiting for something to kick me in the arse & do something about it. I think I'm finally about at that point.

Heheh, just look through my gallery at all the pics of my character Hillary the husky, he's wearing a dressy suit (complete with waistcoat and fob) in 90% of them, and then of course I tend to draw Trevor in his '80s-ish dinner jacket and jeans combination...XD
