My friend and her 4 year old daughter were over visiting today. The four year old came to see what I was doing on the computer... and she actually got SCARED when she saw your deviation. She scooted behind me, clutched my arm and whispered "It's scary..... what is it?" I really couldn't explain since I don't know what "F Quest" or "Apophysis" means, so I told her "it's just a bunch of swirls and a couple bright spots, it's nothing real". She wasn't convinced... ah well. All is not lost, though; my husband found it to be quite "kinky" (that's the word he uses for "interesting" or "impressive"... don't ask me why, I'm just married to him). Personally, I like it. It seems kind of fractal-ish to me (which I suppose makes sense coming from a person whose dA ID is Phraktalous).
ANYWAY, sorry about the rambling. I'm fairly sure you won't even read this as you have about a gazillion comments to sift through, but... I felt compelled to leave my 2 cents. Actually I'd bet this post, based solely on it's verbosity, is worth about 37 cents by now. *ahem* Leaving now! CONGRATS ON THE DESERVED DD!!!

Wow, great fractal. It's really really impressive, I love the colors. To be honest, the first thing that I thought of when I saw it is the Ing from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, if you've played it. It also looks a bit like a pinball bumper or something.
