Description
Since I'm looking at lighting this scene entirely via indirect light, I'm trying out the Poser SuperFly renderer (ported from the Blender "Cycles" render engine). Firefly does not do well with indirect lighting givng a mottled appearance that is different from frame to frame and is particularly a problem with animations.Somewhere I read you need to set the magic pixel number to 17 for good rendering, so I did that for several the features I'm using. The result is above.
This took about 26 hours to render. So I won't be doing this for any animations. The default of 4 renders the scene in about 20 minutes - but looks pretty noisy. However, I'm trying some experiments and it looks like I might be able to get a passable render in about an hour per frame. That might be acceptable.
I finally figured out how to do refraction and that shows above. Also, "we" are now in the picture. This is coming along nicely - we'll see how things progress.
