Description
Don't be the first to pass out.A vector for watcher
Who requested (very politely, I might add,) his OC: Steel Jack, in a scenario of my choosing, featuring my choice of characters from Fluttershy or Starlight, or hanging out with Rainbow Blitz, Butterscotch or Bubble Berry.
I was hesitant at first to attempt a vector request of such a complication composition. But after researching the latter three characters. (I had never heard of 'em and had no idea who they were.) I was keen to have a go. I'd not done gender swapped versions and I like doin' new shit.
I chose Starlight Glimmer as a being a better fit for the situation.
The final result was gifted to him in private to do with as he pleases. It was his wish I post it to my profile. Which means I have to do this acknowledgement shit.
Trace bases.
Background vectored from S09_E11 - Student Counsel.
Starlight Glimmer vectored from S06_E01 - The Crystalling P1 & S07_E01 - Celestial Advice.
Steel Jack vectored from S08_E01 - School Daze P1 & S05_E09 - Slice of Life.
Butterscotch (R63 Fluttershy,) vectored from S04_E26 - Twilight's Kingdom P2.
Bubble Berry (R63 Pinkie Pie,) vectored from S09_E06 - Common Ground & S04_E12 - Pinkie Pride.
Rainbow Blitz (R63 Rainbow Dash,) vectored from S08_E22 - What lies beneath.
All three adapted from designs I found on the FanArt Wiki i.
The keg and mugs reused from an old animation project . I provided vectors for.
Colour palette sourced from: MLP Vector Club. and Screen Caps as required.

You never heard of their r63 versions? How did you manage to do that?
Anyway, nice work! That's a really complex scene with so many chars and you did it amazingly!
And you say you don't have any artistic skills, haha
(P.S. You called Rainbow Blitz "Lightning" in the description: "Lightning Blitz (R63 Rainbow Dash,) vectored from S08_E22 - What lies beneath."
Fitting too, he's surely as fast as lightning, haha.)

I knew R63 versions existed. What I didn't know were their accepted names. Gender-swapped versions didn't interest me in the slightest. The only one I knew of was Twilight's - Dusk Shine. And only 'cause I helped out on a fic a mate was writing about him.
I never said I don't have any artistic skill. I don't have any genuine artistic skill. I'm a tracer. Everything I do is done with mouse clicks.
I'm going to take the opportunity to briefly explain my method. You're not the first to make comment. Some people might find this interesting.
Creating vectors can be easy. I follow a fairly simple process;
1. Paste,
2. Base,
3. Trace,
4. Place, and
5. Interlace.
Depending on how much creative freedom I'm given by the requester. It can be a rather quick process. I just do what they ask.
Providing me with a screenshot and askin' "I'd like this, please." Or "I'd like this pose but could you please make the character Rainbow Dash?" Are the easiest to do. I may have to find a higher resolution screenshot from my archive to make tracing easier but that's about it.
Vectors like this one can take a long time to set up. In this case, it took longer than the actual tracing. A couple of characters hanging out. Is not much to go off.
The idea for a keg party came about from watchin' my Yank mates discussing their Fourth of July party plans in one of the Discord servers I'm in. I already had the barrel and cider mugs from a previous vector. The plan evolved from there while searching for trace bases for the blokes in the shot.
Finding a shot of an unconscious Soarin' became a passed out drunk Butterscotch. Who, in my mind would be a lightweight.
I wanted a slightly chubby base for Bubble Berry. Quibble Pants fit the bill nicely.
Full body, unobstructed shots of sitting males are few and far between. The most common being Sandbar. So that bloke's my go to.
It was mere happenstance that I found a slightly smug looking Sandbar with a pencil in his mouth. Which was perfect for a Rainbow Blitz. Leading to the graffiti on Butterscotch's face. (Which is just stretched marker font.)
The rest was just finding poses that fit together without overlapping too much.
Once I've found what I think I need. I lay it all out into a base and get cracking. Working from rear-of-frame to foreground.
Once all separate components are placed into position. A few minor adjustments to sightlines and layering to give the appearance of the characters interacting with one another and voilà!
One completed vector.

Fair enough @ r63!
"I never said I don't have any artistic skill. I don't have any genuine artistic skill. I'm a tracer. Everything I do is done with mouse clicks. "
Even if creating the art itself is tracing, image composition and proper layering and aligning things to create the vision you have are genuine artistic skills, though
That's honestly pretty interesting, you should consider writing this in a journal as a little tutorial on how you work. If you get these questions often then others might enjoy that reading too.
Also, in that base with those poses it looks like Butterschotch is doing Thunderlane's butt and Thunder just surrendered to his fate, lmao

Wonder if 'Merican pones use red anti-weaponisable mugs? They don't have plastic so maybe ol' fashion wax paper ones.
What do they use for plastic ping pong balls for beer pong?

I do see Rainbow Blitz/Rainbow Dash drawing that on Butterscotch/Fluttershy face and why do I think Pinkie Pie/Bubble Berry wearing that shirt in the show?

Cool beans. Your thoughts on the characters mirror mine.
At least I'm not alone in my assumptions.
