I confuse somtime and I rather prefer the name "Rua, Ruka". I don't really like how I drew Yusei in Panel 7

i just watch the dub, cause most of the time im listening to it and doing something else on the computer, id like to take the time to read subs and enjoy the show but i gotta say i hate when they duel. and know that sounds dumb cause thats what the shows about, but they never seem to follow the rules, so i just listen to a bit of what they say and zone out the rest of the time. But i love the story, and the characters, but it just sucks when one of their duels can drag on for 3 or 4 episodes. Im actually a little surprised i got into 5d's, the whole concept of card games on motorcycles is absurd.

I prefer just mixing them up and calling them Rua and Ruka
I prefer Ruka's Dub name since Ruka sounds a bit odd but when I make fanfics or artwork, I just call all the characters by the Japanese names

A person with a Japanese accent will pronounce L's with an R sound. 4kids probably changes the name for Luca and Lua to Luna and Luka(Later Leo) because it would cause less confusion for younger kids.

"Rua"/"Ruka" = Written on Takahashi-sensei's original linework, probably the best official source.
"Lua"/"Luca" = I'm assuming this is another dumb mistake by the animators, so I choose to ignore it. After all, they did manage to spell "momentum" as "mormetn". X_X
"Luka"/"Luna" = No. 5D's doesn't have a dub, therefore dub names never happened.
"Ruca" = I tend not to trust the spelling of anything on Janime, there's an awful lot of mistakes there. D:
