this is a piece to practising my 3D skill during my easter holiday . first time i model and render a human face in 3D.here is the wire :

i used 3Dstudio Max 9 ,mental ray and edited in PHotogshop CS2 with DOF generator Pro.

How good is mental ray I like to try it, I use Poser,Painter or Vue alot for my work.

it 's becaused i use SSS skin shader of mental ray

any particular depth setting to the SSS? I use blender (got the same tools but have to do scaling on my own)

i dont have any crazy setting in the SSS , i just go through some basic SSS tutorial on the internet
