Some of you may not have known, but I've working on my own pony species behind the scenes for a little while, and I've finally made a little reference for the species. c: I numbered everything so I could include the information in the description. > v < I may make these available to make your own. u vu When making your own Gypsy pony, rare traits may cost extra. The gender population of Gypsy ponies is 75% females to 25% males. Only females carry the genetics to form another Gypsy pony, so a male Gypsy pony and a regular pony cannot form foals that are Gypsy ponies.
1 a. Gypsy ponies have normal anatomy of regular ponies; however instead of a tail, they have a giant glass ball with curling smoke inside. Since the glass ball is heavy, their hips have to be a slight bit wider for them to be able to walk without being hindered.
b. The smoke can be any color, and may shift places in the ball from time to time. The ball is usually a few shades lighter than the smoke color. Bi-colored smoke is an uncommon trait. Tri-colored smoke is a rare (recessive) trait.
c. When a Gypsy pony is telling a fortune or seeing the future, the glass ball will fill up with smoke, becoming one solid color (unless the pony has uncommon or rare traits) Also, intense emotions can cause such a reaction, such as intense terror, anger, or happiness.
2 a. Wings of Pegasus Gypsy ponies can range from 3 sizes; Alicorn-sized wings, normal-sized wings, and cherubic-sized wings. Normal-sized wings are common, while large wings are uncommon and small wings are rare.
3 a. A Unicorn Gypsy pony will grow a large horn by its prime, usually ranging from 10-12 inches in length. The horns grow according to the pony’s nature; the more cruel a pony is, the more twisted it’s horn becomes. Sometimes a horn can form a hole, which signifies a lie or harmful act that the pony has committed. A completely innocent Gypsy Pony, rare because of their natural talent to tell fortunes and possible ruin a pony’s life, have perfectly curved horns, with no odd bends or breaks.
b. Adolescent unicorn Gypsy ponies do not form a curve in their horns; the transformation begins slowly when the pony’s body matures, usually in its late-teenage years.
