I had to change Vulpix' design a bit to fit the fox LPS figure better but I think it looks super cute like this! ^_^

WOW these are so neat!! I have so many LPS characters from when I was a kid, I'm wondering how do you make then into pokemon? Also I really like the vulpix and growlithe. if you do commissions, I would get you to do those 2 for me

Thank you so much! My commission slots are currently closed but they'll hopefully reopen in a few weeks. I'd be happy to make those two for you then (though I have an even cuter idea for a new Growlithe custom than the last one)! ^_^ Contact me again in a few weeks if you're still interested!

Sounds great! whatever you think looks good I will contact you about the vulpix and growlithe. but could I ask for a ninetales and an arcanine also? when you find out how much they will cost can you please let me know? I am very interested

Together all four would cost 80€ + shipping as they all involve quite a lot of sculpting I'd love to make Ninetales and Arcanine for you too!

okay I figured it out, I can pay for the 4 of them in the first week in December. could you accept the payment for them on the 8th?

Absolutely, there is no rush! Do you have an Etsy profile? I could send you the sketches for the customs through Etsy or to your e-mail if you want!

what kind of paint do you use for them? I was thinking of making some things for 3D printing... I'm looking for paint that doesn't wash off.

pia-chu In reply to MushyBear [2014-11-25 11:51:53 +0000 UTC]

I use acrylics I have had some bad experiences with painting 3D printed things though, it might be that the paint washes off it or that it even comes off the item when you hold it in your hands (depends on the plastic used for printing) :S I'd say acrylics are the best way to go though! Some 3D printing plastic is quite porous though so it might be wise to use as little water as possible when painting Really depends on the plastic I guess! Btw, you might want to use a sealant after painting to make sure the paint is water resistant. I don't seal my customs so I don't think it's a good idea to put them in water xD

Thank you for the heads up! Very much appreciated.. when you use acrylics, do they wash off the characters you're making or no? I just likeΒ  to ask questions before purchasing that's all. and through e-mail is perfect, I can go on etsy, but I currently do not have an account with it. My Email: Sparkles.18@hotmail.com

Okay, I'll make the sketches for you once I finish them ^_^ I have no idea if the acrylics would wash off the customs, I really don't recommend anyone trying to put them under water (they are collectible items after all, not toys)

I won't be putting them anywhere near water, but if any moisture got on them, they would be ruined Β  I was wondering if there's a way to make it so they are waterproof?

pia-chu In reply to MushyBear [2014-11-25 21:17:33 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, I don't use any sealant on them :/ I don't think they get ruined that easily though, I've had mine for over a year in their designated place and all of them are fine

MushyBear In reply to pia-chu [2014-11-26 14:34:16 +0000 UTC]

okay that is a good thing, I use acrylics for painting on canvases, however I wasn't too sure about figures, but you use a type of clay for your customs also, so I'm guessing it would be fine, if I were to use a sealer on them, what would you recommend?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pia-chu In reply to MushyBear [2014-11-26 16:36:46 +0000 UTC]

I really can't say I find that sealants usually make the custom glossy (which I really dislike) so that's why I've never used any at all. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

is it still okay if i pay you on the 8th? how much is it again?

pia-chu In reply to MushyBear [2014-12-01 18:46:32 +0000 UTC]

I will let you know when you can pay for them, my commission slots are still closed until I finish my custom # 250. I'll also send the sketches before you pay anything so you know what you agree to buy. It will still take a while until I can send the sketches to you unfortunately, I'm super busy at the moment with other things

how hours to dry that clay?

pia-chu In reply to galaxypaws [2014-05-15 06:13:05 +0000 UTC]

It dries by itself in maybe 6h? I usually just sculpt in the evening and let it dry until the morning
