Description
So very, very tired --- but for good reason.Started off Friday night with some three player Rayman Legends! (Awesome game with tons of content, creative level design, and beautiful graphics.) Briefly did some 3D on Saturday before heading out to a 3DS meetup with a few good friends (and at least 20 others). Finished up that night with even more Rayman! Then... continued into the morning with still more Rayman, while our 3DSes took advantage of some "homepassing". Finally, did a quick birthday sketch for a friend while this lackluster 3D rendered and then finished it all off by applying some lazy post-processing!

It still amazes me when people says this looks realistic. It was one of my early experiments with depth of field --- and I distinctly remember "running out of time" before posting it, so I didn't have much time to play with the settings. Basically, I needed to do a lot of post-processing in GIMP to get rid of unintended graininess / a bit of a yellow tint.

Ha ha, thank you, thank you! XD Just goes to show you --- the more I hate my work, the more others like it.
After hours of Rayman, I was too lazy to texture the "scanners", detail the metal of the machinery, and even properly do lighting. I took the raw render ( imgur.com/gqTQ6uY ) boosted the brightness/contrast, overlaid a super-bright, super-blurred copy, and then tweaked it a bit further by mixing in an ambient only render.
