I heard that during the filming the actor who play Pennywise really creeped the child actors and had trouble doing most the scenes they were in together. You'd think they would have done a few dry runs where he wasn't in costume.

I thinks sometimes the news about the movies are written to be sensational. But i ever suspect that are not all true. You know, those kids are actors, not some pranks victims. And even if he was pretty creepy as Pennywise he's still a co-worker for them and they have done various scene togheter, during and before shooting (when i suppose he was not in full costume!) so i doubt the kids was really scared of him!!

I'm sure you're right. It would still seem kind of weird, I mean if on that set I don't know how I would react to walking down the hallway and suddenly bump into the guy, with or without the outfit.

Thank You!! Ever loved that spooky clown and his original performer - Tim Curry - but never included in the series because the original one was a Tv Series and Piccioncinema, well, cover movies!! But now we have a It movie!! And here we are!!

That is still a creepy line, that whole scene in the basement and you see Pennywise's head slowly rise up really gave me chills. And I don't normally get scared when watching horror movies. Though IT isn't your normal horror movie.
