It is a form of artistic imprisonment and empty creativity which profits off misery.

Hm, interesting comment. No one has ever really critiqued it that way. I appreciate your input.

You executed the assignment in a very good way! I like how the over all design is modern, sharp, and clean.
Are those screws that were used for the binding?

Yes they're chicago screws! It was my first time using them so I had a little bit of a hard time... but in the end, it turned out to be the way I wanted, so I was satisfied. I just wish it didn't look so "handmade" you know?

My semester went well, this project was my favorite. I hope you get to take DART 331 with Annemarie Lesage someday, she is an amazing teacher!
Can't wait to have class with you again

Hey hey! Yes, I am registered for 331 for the next winter session, but I don't know who's the teacher! I just know it's on wednesday morning..
So, are you going to be finished (I mean the design major) at the end of this following year? What do you plan on doing next?

Oh that's the class I had, Wednesday morning! Well I hope you have my teacher. She makes the class really fun.
I'm trying to finish my BFA in April 2009 but I don't know if it will happen... I am aiming for it! I'm taking DRAW 200 and 2 ARTH classes this summer, so I hope it will be possible. And after this... I just want to work in graphic design, man! That's all I wanna do! Hehe
You?

Well, I'll try to finish my major in one year and a half beginning next fall, as design classes are not given in summer. Then, I was thinking about a specialization in illustration at Sheridan college (Ontario), which is a pretty good school. That would be another year...and then, I'd guess I'll try to work in the illustration and graphic design field (more in illustration than graphic design, because there's more drawing included! )
And I don't know for you, but I feel time flies and I am not that ready to work full time, I still want (and need) to learn things, and take advantage of my youth You know, travelling and all! And also working full times means settling somewhere, and I don't know yet where I want to live (Montreal's too cold!)
So yes, that's what I want to do..

Aww this is the closest to a conversation that I've come to have with you since you've left in September! Yay!
Actually I feel like I'm kind of done with learning, I love what I do, I have my own style and it's by practicing that I will develop it more. I'm ready to work, I want money and credit for what I do, and I feel like finishing this Bachelor is pretty much the only thing that's in my way because it's SO time consuming! lol.
I agree, Montreal is kind of cold and it would be nice to travel more and live somewhere else... but I also plan on doing that. Just... later! Hehe. We're different you and I, and I am different than most people. I know where I stand, and I know what I want, I think that's what sets me apart. Lots of people are still just wandering around trying to find something. I've never really been that way. And I see you are more inclined toward illustration! You're good at it so why not!
Can't wait to seeeeee youuuu

Well that's great for you! It's good to know what you want . But I know life's made of surprises too so I personnally don't want to plan it tooo precisely. For now, I like the university environment (even though, especially at Concordia, it can be very time consuming and tiring). But I also want to make money (lol) with what I like to do, and live comfortably. I already have work experience in the field and I want to continue working a bit (part-time or as much as university lets me) in graphic design / illustration until I completely finish my studies. I very much agree one learns that way too!
So, do you already know people in the graphic design field or how you are going to find a job?
Hugs
