Rude: When you first meet Hiroyuki, he is very rude and it would take a whole lot of patience to talk to him. He seems detached and disinterested and there is always an insult at his tongue.

Blunt: He is very blatant when it comes to talking to people he first meets. He doesn't mean it of course, it just comes to him naturally. Inside he's a good person, but he just can't help the words that come out of his mouth.

Impatient: This is pretty self-explanatory. He is never really patient with many things and can come across as pushy most of the time. This isn't really something he can help, he's always been unable to wait ever since he was very young.

Egotistic: In a sense, he is egotistic. When someone compliments him, that's just a starter for him to continue on about how amazing he is. This kind of conversation will either go for a really long time or a really short time depending on what you say. But he will never be the first to brag about himself.

A crybaby: This is a quite unusual trait of his, considering his personality is quite contradicting to this trait. He hides it pretty well though. When listening to sad stories or reading sad books, he'll simply say something that will excuse him from the room or if its a case when he can't leave the room, he'll act his way out of it. There will hardly be a day when he'd admit that he's crying.

Immature: Despite acting all cool and mature at first sight, he is actually one of the most childish people that you will ever meet. He will laugh at jokes whether they're funny or not, if it's a joke he'll laugh. He's immature even when he's arguing with people. Sometimes he'll give them nicknames that they wouldn't like, for instance, his yokai, Ryuuichi - he nicknames Ryuu-ecchi.

Responsible: Although he can be a child most of the time, he's can be very responsible for his actions and sometimes others' actions. He knows how to scold and lecture very well, making him very motherly at the same time.

Motherly: In a sense, he can be motherly. He loves spending time with children and soon gained the instincts of checking if they've eaten properly and such - growing up in a family with four other siblings. But more than that... he gossips a lot. He loves hearing talk about other women and couples and such, he's a sucker for sad and badly-made romance movies, etc.

B i o g r a p h y
Through several generations, Hiroyuki's family and ancestors have always served Inaris back to the Edo period. His ancestors were commonly known as blacksmiths and often worshipped the Inaris. Even until now, Hiroyuki's family still worships them. Hiroyuki was born into a wealthy family, his parents having owned farmland across parts of Japan and are often known for being very conservative and very proper and so that's how Hiroyuki was raised. He had four younger siblings, and all of them were treated equally. Well, almost equally. Hiroyuki, due to his lineage, they were much stricter on how they raised him. Many hours of his days, he spent in his room, reading and when he wasn't reading, he was doing things like housework, playing with his siblings, or helping his parents do their work. In between these hours, he was at the shrine, praying endlessly until he was called by his family to do something at home.

As a young child, whenever he was done with chores and the like, he liked sitting outside on the porch where it was much quieter. But one day, some odd weirdo had walked towards him. His parents did always tell him 'stranger danger' but he'll be the judge of whether or not this guy was to be locked behind bars or not. And so he spoke to the other. And was he amazed. The other had shown him little tricks that Hiroyuki often thought was quite amazing as a younger child, and he often thought that the other was actually a magician. (Hiroyuki: It's just yokai ) But as time passed, he spent a lot of time with the stranger, even as his parents had become very worried, Hiroyuki was more than happy to spend time with the other. He had actually become the only friend that Hiroyuki had outside of his family.

When he was about 17 years old, his siblings had grown to bother him even more. Soon enough, they were at the shrine with him and soon they were everywhere he went. He found it endearing of them to do so, but he wasn't able to get anything done if they had continued to pester him so. One day, he was tired from having to take care of his siblings, that when he was finally able to pry them off, he went to a nearby shrine, not the usual one he went to, to have a rest. It was another Inari shrine, but it was a bit bigger and much more communal. There, he saw many mothers with their children, supposedly gossiping about neighborhood drama or the like. One of the kids had come up to Hiroyuki and placed a flower in his hair, in which he just stared at the kid in a confused manner before the said child smiled and walked off.

Soon enough, many of them were surrounding him while the mothers had continued to chatter, oblivious to their children bothering someone that they most likely did not know. So, Hiroyuki put up with it and spoke and played with them until they got bored. Which wasn't soon enough, he thought. Finally, when the mothers were done with their idle chatter, they went to go to their children who were still busy talking to the poor boy. He saw amongst the mothers, one of them was pregnant. It was around 4pm at that point, and even though it was obvious that Hiroyuki was tired from talking, the mothers decided to talk to him anyway.

He found out that the pregnant mother had been infertile for a while, and that she had been able to finally conceive a child. Well, soon. Hiroyuki was glad to hear the news, despite being deathly tired of conversing with people that day, and blessed her. He didn't know what he was doing, but it felt like the right thing to do - to wish that the child was conceived in a healthy manner and that it had no sicknesses or deficiencies, etc.

When they had finally gone back home, Hiroyuki stayed back at the shrine. He wondered if he was truly ready to become the God of foxes, rice, sake and most importantly... fertility. These women seemed so happy to go through all this pain to conceive a child and they seemed happy having them around. Who was he to not give them what the want...?

When it was finally time for him to become a god, he decided that he would bring that stranger that he met with him. Ryuuichi (or commonly known as Ryuu-ecchi) was to become Hiroyuki's yokai - and he forced him until he agreed to be just that.
