You're very right about the background! It really does highlight the birthday mood, you did a good choice choosing them colours to get this feeling! Malakay also looks really adorable, I also admit I also really like the way you drew her xD they look so happy which again enhances the birthday mood!
I really like the shading and shadows again on this one! The attention to details especially on Malakay's shading is really great, it makes them look even more fluffy and also makes it better to look at. The shading on the cupcake is also really good, it looks so poofy and tasty >w< *wants*
Sparks also looks really cute on this one, it's probably because of the adorable pose you gave him! I still love the way you do eyes, he really does look cute!~ It's really nice of you to draw a birthday gift for someone :3~ you're so kind!
Btw, is it just me or are Sparks' goggles missing? ;D haha~ he looks cute like that though!

I had yet to produce an adequate background to all the birthday gifts I've been making, at least in my opinion. This one I felt was an improvement >w<
My goggles are optional, as long as I wear the 90 scarf so anyone can tell me apart, hehe

Well I'm glad to hear that you are making improvement, that is always a good thing! I really need to practise more on my backgrounds, rather than my art style itself! |D;;; backgrounds are really hard to master..
Haha I see, I knew they would have probably been left out for a reason. The creator of a character doesn't often just forget the design and accessories of their character.
