This file is HUGE, but if I shrunk it down in lineart form you'd never see any of the details.

It's still very much a WIP, but since it's been a while since I uploaded anything of worth, I thought I'd show you all this.

First off, let me totally not apologize for the fine mage ass that grips your attention. At first I'd planned to put Kival in some white mages robes to signify 'the beyond' but his butt was far too fineeee

Second, the woman is in fact Edra. It was traditional in many ancient cultures to cut your hair while in mourning (particularly when a lover or child passed) because it symbolized sacrifice and spiritual death. So prior to this scene, Edra cuts her long hair in favor of a short do, for the last year of her life.

Here, she is saying goodbye one final time to him, and, as the expression on his face hopefully conveys, he's sort of upset with her for going into this depression over him. He always revered Edra for being a strong woman and seeing her like this had upset him, but, he never really could be angry with her. He offers her words of comfort, and final "I love you" and then he's gone again.

I'll hopefully type something up for the final picture.
