When I was little, we called faint freckles or little ones 'fairy freckles'. It seemed to be a theme then, like when the rain is just a drizzle we also called it 'fairy spit'.

Not sure I've seen many geisha with red hair. Looks more to me like a girl with a pumpkin-looking wig on.
