Splinter must've have finally decided 4 turtles versus hundreds of foot and other mutants just isn't going to work...or he wants his own giant ninja cult...ok I'm being goofy but if you think about it wouldn't Splinter aka Master Yoshi (in some versions) have become the leader of the foot clan if Oroko Saki (Shredder) hadn't gotten in the way?
