Take a walk or switch to another creative endeavor for a while. It gives your brain time to process things.

Amazing pic.
I wonder if I am the only person who never gets art block because I take so freaking long to draw any given thing that ideas pile up faster than I could ever possibly draw them?

This is totally my problem, right now. I've 5 poems jumbling around in my head (mostly as of last week), and of them, I've finished one so far.Β
....When I should actually be doing a 2-3 page paper for one of my classes, which I also haven't finished partly due to this feeling. xD
This is amazing~! :3

A scientific study recently showed that people are most creative after doing something boring for a time. Β It was on NPR. Β Not sure if I believe it, but it might be worth a try. Β Go mow the lawn. Β

That's 'cause when you're bored, you have ideas for distract yourself. A good thing is to take a notebook for writing all of those.

This is priceless. Your cure is obviously to make a drawing about it
My cure to artblock (writer's block for me): Do something else and then come back to it with (hopefully) fresh eyes. Or take a different approach to the story to see if there's something worth pursuing there.

i dont really know if this helps, but when i am having artists block, i draw with ink only or only colored pencil. i limit my tool, then draw a little squiggle, then go from there with what ever the pen/pencil decide....

This is such a great depiction of it! Very accurate!
Eh, I think I normally get artblock when I've just draw a whole stinkin' lot. Which mean I just need to take a break. So it's more burnout than artblock.

When I get an artblock, I study what I feel I don't do well, like hands and feet, anatomy in general, colors, ect...

I doodle a whole bunch of random stuff while listening to music to help give me prompts. It usually gets the blood pumping and I eventually want to draw again. Also tea. Tea helps.

I love that you actually have the thought bubble as a block! It's a great image, but it's that double meaning to it that really makes me stand out. And all the details in there are fantastic. Very inspiring!

I usually hang out with other friends of mine that draw and just sit down and start to put something on paper, not thinking or worrying too much about WHAT I put down, just starting somewhere, my friends inspire me and maybe the drawing turns to nothing, or maybe it becomes a piece I absolutely love

Artblock...an artist's worst fear & enemy! How to conquer it? Beats me! I listen to something beautiful...like a capellas and stuff. I also look at wonderful works from different artists. I guess that'll help?
