Excellent theme and pose, I love the composition as well.

I adore deep red lip stick and it suits the models skin tone down to the ground, the early evening light adds a slight erotic feel as it's closer to twilight and that bit less innocent.

The "Fragile" tape is such a simple and effective instrument as well, fragile beauty, fragile dignity, fragile morality and also the fragile line that erotica walks before being vilified.

Magic

Oh I shall get around to commenting on the models other work, but there is a lot of it and I am being looked at to do the vaccum cleaning

I wish people would stop with the "OMG give her a sandwich!" that's just as offensive as telling someone who's overweight to lay off the cookies or something. Don't judge someone you don't know based on their looks. My ribs and bones stick out in some places and I'm healthy. I eat all the time She could just have a fast metabolism. You just don't know. So don't comment on her weight. It's rude and disrespectful. Just because you have the "right" to do something, doesn't mean you should.

Actually she looks quite healthy to me. Seeing her ribs does not make her unhealthy. I love all of the self conscious people on here that appear to have their Phd in biology, health, and physiology.

Stop making comments on her health. Her body is her own. Comment on the artistic value of this photo.

Great photo BTW.

MeggyLouPhoto-Design [2010-09-04 18:16:24 +0000 UTC]

This may be considered to tasteful to some, but to me I see something quite offensive. Tell this girl to go eat some fat and you should try not using a model so skinny you can see every single one of her ribs.

I find this offensive.

Another Phd in physical health on DA!
Comment on the art. Not on a health issue that you are self conscious about and seem to know nothing of.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MeggyLouPhoto-Design In reply to shadradson [2010-09-04 22:36:19 +0000 UTC]

I have no self conscious issues asshat.

I don't claim to be a Phd in health. My comment was on the 'art' when I said it distasteful because that is exactly what it is, distasteful.

shadradson In reply to MeggyLouPhoto-Design [2010-09-05 04:30:16 +0000 UTC]

Another guru of art on DA!
It's amazing how you and only you know what art is!
If someone truly wants to know what art is, I guess all they have to do is look at your gallery! It truly is astounding that such a master as you exists in the world.

I certainly hope you never describe my art as distasteful. It might be a death blow. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

MeggyLouPhoto-Design In reply to shadradson [2010-09-05 16:57:00 +0000 UTC]

Never once did I claim to be an art guru, but everyone has their own personal tastes in art and I am expressing mine. Everyone's view of 'art' is different because art is different.

So do me a favor, go fuck yourself and your sarcastic statements accusing me of things I never claimed to be

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

shadradson In reply to MeggyLouPhoto-Design [2010-09-08 18:59:19 +0000 UTC]

My goodness. I don't believe you are allowed to say such words on DA.
You know what I find offensive? Some over weight girl who does not take care of herself well enough to feel good about herself telling someone who is obviously in shape to (and I quote) "go eat some fat" and the photographer "you should try not using a model so skinny you can see every one of her ribs."

That is offensive to me. You can see every one of my ribs as well. I am in great shape. I also have a minor in physical health. Go eat healthier, exercise, gain some self confidence, and come back when you are more mature.

A great thing to remember on DA is if you do not like an artist's work, just don't comment. Otherwise the community might punish you for your temerity.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

MeggyLouPhoto-Design In reply to shadradson [2010-09-08 21:26:06 +0000 UTC]

You know nothing about me f***er. Yes, I look like I am overweight in the picture, but you also do not know my circumstances. I am in very good health and take very good care of my body. I walk, I swim, I work out (well up until I tore the ligaments in my knee in May but I still kept active) I have health issues, not diabetes, but other health issues that make it hard for me to lose weight. I eat very healthy. Oh and confidence, I have great self confidence. I didn't used to, but I have great self confidence and am very happy with the way I am.

Don't comment back, you won't get a response. I have a right to comment what I think of a photo negative, or not negative.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

shadradson In reply to MeggyLouPhoto-Design [2010-09-10 23:57:10 +0000 UTC]

I haven't asked for a single one of your responses. I have forgotten about you every time I hit send on one of my replies. But you keep making my day with yours. I am enjoying them thoroughly to be honest.

People with self confidence don't need to tear down someone for no reason as you did with this model and photographer.
You are nothing more than a childish person who has to attack something she does not (as a healthy person you stated yourself) have the ability to achieve (whether by a lack of self control, or a lack of motivation).

And yes, you do indeed have the right to comment on a photo negatively or positively.
You even have the right to downright criticize the artist and model right in front of a community they are graciously presenting their art to.
But I also have the right to point out how wrong you are to the community for it.

/thread.

The photo is really great, I just dont like the way she is looking. Her expression doesnt really strike me as "fragile" but as "bitchy"

I don't have a subscription, so I'll just write my critique here.

Vision:
Originality:
Technique:
Imagination:

Looking at the other photos that feature this model with a "fragile" sign, I'm going to assume that is a part of a series of photos (if I'm wrong, I apologize). The model is very lovely, a perfect example of modern beauty, with accessories and well-manicured nails, and a thin, thin physique. She is topless, and conceals her breasts with a "fragile" sign reminiscent of caution tape. This makes me wonder if perhaps you are commenting upon the ideas of cosmetic beauty nowadays, compared to the old, classical beauties. Another interesting thing to note is the background. I'm not sure if you simply put her there for modesty's sake because no one was there, or if it has some deeper meaning that I am missing completely. (If I am, I apologize.)
All in all, a very lovely piece. The photography is splendid, and the model is very lovely. Great job.

To me she looks a bit thin with ribs showing so much and small arms. Granted some people are like that and it only exemplifies 'fragile'.

Wonderful work.

You've neither convinced me or shown me why this model still looks to skinny. I didn't say she had a eating disorder, but its just not healthy to be that thin. We all have our opinions, so its whatever. >_>

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

iplaypirate In reply to ReignOfTempest [2010-09-04 21:12:14 +0000 UTC]

Some photos are meant to show off some rib and bones. It may have been the photographer's intention to do so. I know plenty of women who are that thin and perfectly healthy, are you a licensed phd in health? Who are you to say thin = unhealthy? Yes, it's YOUR opinion. But you needn't post comments like "Someone get that girl a sandwich, ASAP! D:" That's just rude.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ReignOfTempest In reply to iplaypirate [2010-09-05 04:18:29 +0000 UTC]

I post it because I have a right to voice my opinion, rude or not. I live in America, and I excercise the right everyday. I have the right to judge, critique, anything how I see fit. And my ex was like 96 lbs, and looked kinda like she does, so I know from personal experience the problems that come with being that thin. And anyone can tell you that's just not healthy to be that thin. Convo over. >_>
