I can imagine this scene in the actual anime.Ino is just that kind of person to help people feel better, look at Sakura if Ino wasn't there she'd be like Hinata and blush whenever Sasuke came.
So I'm guessing when Sakura left Ino, she came and bugged Naruto, then sumthin happened and here we are.

You know, if it hadn't been for that bastard Uchiha, Ino wouldn't have had to give up such a good friendship with Sakura, and maybe found how much better Naruto is. It's such a shame that he doesn't get along very well with her.
In fact, I think Naruto goes well with ANY girl, whether in be in this franchise or other.
