Finally, after days of trying, a composition I like. A commission I'm doing for =ShaianWillems of X-23 from the Marvel comic series.I will be updating this image as I progress.

I'll finish her some day. Got halve way with the colouring, but it wasn't looking right, so motivation took a huge knock. Might redo the face first though.

Yes, I will be colouring her, in fact I have already started colouring her.
Unfortunately, I ran into some trouble when I got to her face and stomach, which completely demotivated me. So I thought I'd just move on to the next commission and then come back to her with a fresh perspective.

Thanks, background is going to be blurred anyway. Hit a snag with the colouring. When I started colouring, everything just kept going wrong. I got so frustrated that I decided to take a couple of days break, and maybe start with the Chii commission to get my mind of it. Will hopefully get started again soon.

On a side note, this is the first drawing where I used Paint Tool Sai to do the line art. And I have to say Sai is friggin' awesome! Seriously, if you're doing line art, this software is a must. This is going to take my skills to the next level, and it started with your drawing.

Trust me, you have to try it out. It's got a special layer type called 'Linework' which has been specifically tailored for line art. But you really need a tablet to take full advantage of it. I will never use anything else for my line art again

Like I said, give the trial a spin before you commit. It's a great tool, but it will not replace Photoshop at all. Photoshop's filters and layer effects are in a league of their own. Not to mention all the post production effects you can add.
SAI a very nice to have, but not a necessity like Photoshop.

Sai is only good for lineart? and PS is good with layers?

I wouldn't say "its only good for line art", but it's definitely better with line art than PS.
If you do a lot (like in a lot) of line art with a tablet, and the quality thereof is important to you I believe SAI will make your life easier.

i draw on paper , and then scan it to my pc.
and make a lineart with PS.
and i dont use/have a tablet, i do it all with mouse & keyboard.

In that case, I don't recommend you getting SAI until you have a tablet. Photoshop should more than cover your needs for now
