Loved it so much. Worth every once of excitement I had.

I thought it was earth... the ship left him behind... he took the serum -long story short- put his dna out to create life. Then later in the film they want to destroy earth because of (likely) have evolution of mankind has gone sour.

The movie is very confusing... it was written by the guy who wrote Lost.
So it seems the movie was the origin of the face hugger... being a chemical weapon created by the Engineers (big dudes). The chemical infected them (the other big dudes), and one of the big dudes put his ass in a sleep chamber (as you notice once infected the become zombie killers). The room with all the metal casings, was to be sent to earth to destroy it, chemical warfare? Instead it infected the crew. The first infection (outside of the big dudes) was the earthworm (they show it under the metal casing originally) and that's what kills the first humans in the movie. Long story short the lady who had the seesection... created the first face hugger that impregnated the engineer which created the first Alien. So... then the question is... is that the queen alien (from part 2)... since it's larger than the rest?
I suspect the weapon, was not a weapon in the beginning as the guy took it in the beginning and it crumbled his DNA strands into the river which began life (guessing a zillion years ago, per the film)... maybe to prolong life. So maybe it wasn't a weapon but a way to preserve the race (DNA)?

loved the visuals, the plot so so so. but totally awesome with the imax sound. highly recomend it.
