Something I wanted to do from long time ;//u//;
I don't feel a pro adoptables maker, maybe I'm not the right person to drop tips, but I received a lot of question about "how to do adoptables" and I think I can explain better with little drawing, something like step by step about My feelings
This isn't a guide, it's only my point of view ;//u//; mine (Mile) and my sister Marie \;//u//;
Many people think "adoptables=money", yes sure you are right, Indeed I lost half of my job and I really need art become my work, but first of all I LOVE design, from the beginning, from when I was a little little child and I drawing drawing drawing everyday on copybooks like a fashion designer, models with outfit, different hairstyle, I love design, if an adoptable didn't satisfied me I don't think "pff...who cares? this is money!" I have almost 800 designs in my folder unfinished, ideas, projects, species, I study continuously, sometimes during the day I look at people around, place, animals, nature, and I search inspirations even while dreaming, because this is what I love ;//u//;
then when someone ask "how can I start adoptables?" my answer will be only "with love and passion ;u;"

I halfway disagree with this... because i see people buy the shittest most simple designs for $10-$15 sometimes like wtf. ( And i mean like a black cat with a white belly and blue eyes kinda simple like super slandered... ) Or an artist really keeps shitting out poorly colored , horrible lined adopts and sells them for like $10 each and they all look the fucking same its really stupid, and people still buy them.
I have an adopt account and started it for the only reason that I wanted money to buy art of my ocs. But i like designing anyways too so its not like horrible or anything and now i spend more time on the designs. But still. I 100% started doing adopts for money lol and it worked.
Also no one warns people that selling really nice designs hurt. Like I made a lovely design, sold at its AB price, but I miss that design now. Given i know its with a better owner whos gonna really use it but it makes me depressed for a little while.Β

I'm not a proffesionist so maybe I wrong a lot of things, if your starting work for you I'm so happy \;u;/ and I hope it can continue in future \;u;/ (for my experience when I don't put a lot of passion in my things and make them just for profit I stop after a week or so xΒ°D )
selling something you love it's something happened to me and I noticed when was too late T///T!! I just can hope the people who have that design could love it ;////u///;!

This is super true. I am currently trying to make some money by creating and selling adoptables and I just can't wait to see how this goes >u< This has been something I've been wanting to do for a while because I just love the concept of adoptables! It's so cute and just wowza. I'm really hoping people will take an interest in my adoptables.

What is Adoptable?
Adoptables are characters design made by an Artist that put them for sale and can be adopted by other people (with money or other type of offer ) as their personal Character. Then the new character's owner can create name , personality , background story and change a little the outfit as it's own character.
Why people buy Adoptables?People can do their personal character by themselves
Sometimes some people have a story or a character in mind and the only thing they need is something that figure out what thay have in mind and if they found a character made by other people , maybe can be what they search ;v;
Sure people can do the caracters by themselve ( and many many people do that >v< ) but sometimes one artist can do the exact thing they are looking for

This is definitely true in a way but there are those who solely do it for money making and do make a lot from it (some had even say they don't get the point of buying adoptables)--
When I start doing an adopt, I always end up keeping them b/c I love them too much Q uQ;;;;

I have lots of notebooks with ideas and designs and i am one of who enjoy designing. I have many drafts unfinished too. I am just so new to it. I really would love to give people the designs i have which me myself would love to have one of them . I don't have the confident yet. Maybe because i am too shy to show what i like and to show my thoughts. Have been a year since last time i am encouraging myself to make the first step but no use. Not even uploading my OC that i draw daily. Omg >////< Can't wait to be more active and upload more art :T

I totally agree with this, but also the fact that there is no ''universal'' answer to making adoptables either. In my opinion, people asking how it's done simply do not realize what adoptables are and what it takes to make them. There is no method, no ''how'', there is only passion, imagination, creativity and skills and that is not something that can be taught or explained like in a text book, it's something each and everyone of us has to find and learn for themselves.

This is a perfect tip and example ;v; As much as some people need or want money, if you don't have fun and put a lot of care into the adopts you are making and enjoy what you are doing, others probably won't like it either ;v; That's why your adopts are so special <33 Because you put so much care and attention and you love what you do <33

I tend to feel a little bitter when high paying artists talk about passion and inspiration; not only do I feel as though it's an abstract concept and therefore doesn't really provide actual help, it suggests that people who aren't as successful aren't as passionate and inspired. Which isn't true a lot of the time. However, I totally agree with with you on the "would I spend money on this" part, and your tips on finding inspiration. ;v;
