Personality: Curious, optimistic and easy-going. Nothing seems to bother Akuley much as he always tries find a way to relax and enjoy what’s in front of him. Still, he’s a trained warrior, and despite his carefree spirit, he’ll surely fight if prompted, with or without the need of his pokemon. Likes: eating, hunting, swimming. Dislikes: Yuka’s constant scolding, foreigners (pfft!), gunfire.

*Brief History: For years the Trovi Tribe lived untroubled, but right around 1413 ships filled with foreigners arrived and soon after all the Orange Islands were subject of colonization. Trovita Island was no different, yet, since the village was settled deep within the forest, no invader had yet to cross their home. Akuley was just one of the warriors in charge with keeping them away. He would often think of methods of disposing them, like booby traps or sending a horde of Beedril, or, with Hayiyi’s help, a wave of attacking mankeys to scare them away. With their masks, the colonists just thought he and the other warriors were wild pokemon. For a while, this tactic seemed to work and barely any ship reached their cost.

One day, though, a ship arrived bringing a group of explorers who sought out to discover this unknown ‘pokemon’ and instead ended up discovering the village. Akuley had been out hunting and return to find strange faces inside his home. The encounter was sudden, but both sides only seemed at awe with each other. The foreigners wanted to greet these people, so the head of the tribe used a psychic pokemon to communicate with them telepathically (this was Yuka, the Natu). It had seemed Yuka had already predicted their arrival, but she warned the explorers that they were to leave all of the Orange Islands or else ‘something terrible’ would happen. Naturally, they didn’t pay much mind to what a tiny little bird had to say on the matter when they had already established themselves in half of the islands. The Trovi chief still finds it in his heart to teach these people about their land, much to Akuley’s dismay as he didn’t trust them for a second.

Time goes on to 1421 CE, the natives had come to an agreement with the colonists that they could share the land as long as they didn’t trespass onto each other’s territory or conflict with each other’s people. This was all fine and dandy for mostly everybody, except Akuley, and, of course, little Yuka, who found no one who would heed her warnings. The doom she predicated was only considered once it started: when the treaty between the two races had been broken. It’s not clear who killed who first, but the fact of the matter was, both sides received dead members, and revenge was sought after. One battle eventually turned into a war with both human and pokemon and everything else from there on is just history.

Misc: His mask is only used during hunting, but he'll never be seen without it on his head anyhow. It's made out of half of a shellder’s shell, just like his necklace (plus the tongue), and other bits of fangs. The tufts on his legs is Eevee fur and the rest of his clothes are from various pelts. The tail on the back is a zigzagoon's. The colours on his clothes are supposed to be reminiscent of Natu’s typical feathers, since his tribe mostly praised bird pokemon as their deities. He can be seen with either of his alt. clothes. The pelt one is usually used for when it's cold out.

Crunch, Slash, Aqua Tail, Trash

Size: 7’1 (just slightly smaller than regular Feraligatr)

Personality: Caona, despite being a ferocious looking thing, is actually very tame. She only ever gets enraged when she sees Akuley in some sort of danger, and this is due to her natural motherly protectiveness. She’s the least outspoken of the trio, but definitely expressive, as well as she is intimidating.

Brief History: Caona met Akuley when he was out in one of his hunts and he came across the river. Thinking him a threat and trying to protect her baby totodiles, the two ended up in a brawl when Akuley clung onto her, holding her jaw shut. She eventually gave in and left him leave. Enthralled by the pokemon’s submission, he would often visit the river to see her. From these visits, their bond was born. Eventually Caona grew very fond of the human, and he of her. It was long until he started using her help for hunting and the two became rather inseparable.

Peck, Wish, Night Shade, Confuse Ray

Size: 0’08’’

Personality: Talkative, stubborn, and sometimes even self-centered, you’ll find that Yuka, despite having a small beak, has a very big mouth. The little bird means well, though. She’s sort of Akuley’s guide in that sense, as well as his translator throughout this entire journey. In battle, she always insists on doing her best, but might end up getting hurt in the process.

Brief History: She was born from a Xatu that migrated to the south and ended up in the Orange Islands. During her lifespan, Yuka was the Trovi Tribe’s seer, of the sort. When it was revealed her psychic ability allowed her to communicate with humans, they started to praise her like a sort of deity. Yuka is big-headed enough to believe it so, as well. She saw a glimpse of the future, though, that shocked her out of her usual trance and that was the battle between the Trovi people and the invaders, plus images of Akuley accompanying her. This vision confused her like no other.

Fury Swipes, Karate Chop, Screech, Seismic Toss

Size: 1'05"

Personality: Like any other mankey, Hayiyi is easily tempered, yet is somehow the most levelheaded on the three. Sure, he’s the first one to scream and shout in fury, but he’s fairly analytic before he decides to battle anyone. This is due to his life growing up with humans and not with a pack. He loves berries and will probably go out of his way to get some if he feels even the slightest craving.

Brief History: When he was a baby abandoned in the forest, he was found by Akuley’s little sister. They took him in and nourished him. Instead of leaving for the wild, Hayiyi decided to stay and became attached to the humans of the tribe. His bond with Akuley came from their adventures together scavenging for food.

Personality: An energetic pup who’s also a clever little thief. He was raised to be a good house pet, but it sometimes seems he works better through his kind’s instincts. He’s not selfish, but he understands that survival is vital, so he’ll care more about his own needs than anything (particularly when he’s hungry.) Even so, he’s loyal to anyone who’s kind to him and will follow orders exactly as asked. He likes to chew on things, especially people’s legs. He’ll puff up his fur when angry and wag his tail when happy.
Brief History: Heketi was warped from a Mightyena Farm in Hoenn. He was bred to be the perfect pet, but he never quite fit the part because he was always getting into trouble. When he arrived in town, he was lost in the forest and hungry for days, until he stumbled across Akuley’s camp and found ways steal food from underneath his nose. Akuley noticed this and tried to be rid of the pup, but the little thing stuck around. The reason was unknown to everybody. One day, though, while Aku was hunting, Heketi helped him take down a sawsbuck and after a moment, the hunter seemed to understand that the poochyena wanted to share the kill. As it would seem, Heketi allowed himself to be ‘caught’ by a trainer. Since Akuley found no way of being rid of him anyways, he accepted. The name and necklace around his neck was given to him by his new master to identify him (it’s a tooth of an ursaring.)
