LORE DUMP TIME! Y’all remember that time I created an oc clan? It was called mistclan. Well- now it’s WOODTRIBE! Yes! Making an entire au for warriorcats, where there is a tribe living beside the four clans. I’m keeping the leader/deputy/medic structure, but changing a ton of stuff, credits to the wcue people who gave meh this idea~! Here’s now gonna be a terminology dump, and ima try to create a comic collection for it. Here’s to the TRIBE!

Leaders= WoodWarden. Takes on the suffix of ‘Wood. (I.E. Silverwood.)

Deputies= WoodWatchers. Suffixes may vary

Medicine cats= ForestHealers. Take on the suffix of ‘Cloud. (IE Ripplecloud.)

Warriors (hunting) = Hunters. They hunt for the clan. can take on the suffix of Pine, Birch, Aspen, Willow, Larch, Ash, Elm, Alder, Maple, etc. as their suffix, Prefixes can vary.

Warriors (Patrol)= TribeGaurders. They patrol the Tribes’s borders and are especially trained in combat. Will take on the suffix of Pine, Birch, Aspen, Willow, Larch, Ash, Elm, Alder, Maple, etc. Prefixes vary.

Kits= Woodlings. Take on the suffix of “Ling”, and are in the nursery until 6 moons of age.

Appreciates = YoungWoods. Take on the suffix of “Paw” and are Youngwood until 12 moons of age. They are to be trained by Hunters, and Tribegaurders, at the same time, until 8 moons of age, they may then pick to be a Hunter or Tribegaurder, depending on its interests/skill. (Mentors are still known as mentors, or Youngtrainers.) and for the remaining 4 moons until becoming a Hunter/Tribegaurder they are trained by one Youngtrainer. Youngwoods may also be mentored by Woodwardens or Woodwatchers. In this case, the Youngwood is trained in all areas, for all moons of being a youngwood, then may pick its path, of being a Tribegaurder/hunter. In the case a Youngwood is trained by a Foresthealer, they become a Younghealer.

Queens= LifeGivers. Take on the role of being a mother; and are a Lifegiver until all their Woodlings are Youngwood.

Elders= OldRoot. Are usually storytellers, and retired from their Hunter/Tribegaurder duties.

[Basic knowledge/workings of Tribe]

Tribegaurders are more likely to become a Woodwatcher, as they have more battle training than Hunters, however, it all depends on the said cat’s skills/loyalties/ambition.

The tribe lives among the carrionplace, where none of the clancats will bother them; and mostly live in harmony. There have been a few wars, though those were long ago. WoodTribe may sometimes come to fourtrees gatherings, although it is rare.

THE GREAT PINE
It is an old pine tree growing from the centre of the carrionplace’s land. There is a tall stack of boxes there, and the clan meeting call is “All Tribecats of our land, Over 6 moons of age, gather before the great pine” (as they do not have a clan rock.) The great pine is also said to have been there as long as the tribe, and each of its needles are a passed cat’s spirit. The dead are referred to as “Restingwood”, and Tribecats do not believe in starclan. Insted, they refer to the afterlife as “the place of the Restingwood” or “The forest of fire” Tribecats only get dream-related prophecies, and when a cat becomes the Woodwarden, they climb to the top of the great pine, and rest on its tallest branches. There they still receive nine lives. It is said only Woodwarden and Foresthealers can climb the tree.

In this AU the carrion place is completely abandoned by twolegs. In this case, the Tribecats have cleaned up the place as best as they can; and rats don’t particularly like it there, making the carrion more inhabitable.
