Yes. And I prefer her to Peach, because Daisy has the strength and stuff she deserves. Peach relies more on beauty, but she does have some tough personality like in Super Mario Bros. 2 and the Super Smash Bros. series. Daisy has thankfully only been abducted once (just by Tatanga from when she was new to the series then) but otherwise is clever enough to escape the trouble whilst Peach tends to be naive for nearly every Mario adventure.
