Sarah, ready to wrap the world into her carefully-scripted fairytale...Pencil, with a little digital enhancing. And that is as finished and clean and fidlly-detailed as I can manage in pencil art....
Should anyone feel the itch to nitpick on costumes and hairstyles, I was not copying from the movie stills for Jareth and Sarah, as should be fairly obvious. Labyrinth and its inhabitants(c) the Jim Henson Company--though Jareth I refuse to believe belongs to anyone but himself.

Chuis une grosse fan des travaux de Froud et Henson.
Labyrinth est un film enorme sous-estime a cause de son aspect "ouais, des muppets, c'est pour gamins...".
Dark Crystal c'est aussi un trip superbement creatif. Apres, je trouve qu'il a un poil vieilli, au niveau du rythme entre autre.... tout en restant une grosse reference en fantasy.
Tu sais qu'ils ont une suite en projet?

That is really gorgeous, really captures the style of the movie, as well as Froud's concept art (I got Goblins of the Labyrinth today, a beautiful book!)

I leafed through that Froud book myself, and much as I simply love the visual creativity and the wacky ideas added by Terry Jones--it's a gorgeous artbook--I'll admit I was bitterly chagrined by the lack of a depictions of a certain Goblin King...
yes, I'm a creative and I adore and respect Froud and all the work that went into creating the Labyrinth sets and inhabitants...
but I'm also a sad, sad Jareth fangirl.
