Ha. Got my art juices to flow again, at least a little bit. Ten points to you who guesses who he is before reading the end of this image description!
I kind of a stole a project from Rh1n0x , ohhohoh, and this is part of it. Who knows how many years it takes to complete! I also got pretty free hands with it so we'll see one beautiful day. Mmmhmhm.

It's so good to see him rendered in another form! He kind of just gets forgotten in the TF mythos. I'm so happy to see his face again!

The sound I just made was inhuman! I absolutely adore Beast Wars and Depth Charge was always one of my favorite characters. I felt like the story he had with Rampage was incredibly mature and faceted, especially for a 'kid's show', and his death is one of the most memorable in TF lore to me (after Dinobot's, of course!)
You've done an incredible job translating his design into something more modernly styled, as well as giving him a pre-Earth look. I love his face and how you've hinted at his more organic appearance. Very impressive. I've been wanting to see something like this for a long time!

I had fun designing his more high tech look to resemble the organic shape. I've drawn about whole body, this is just a nice portrait. I have to tell you, it was a bit of a pain with certain areas, like chest!
I like Depth Charge a lot (same with Dinobot) and if it wasn't for this project I just grabbed all for myself, I would have never drawn these two. And I'm happy I did! I rewatched the episodes with DC and Rampage again just last week, and yeah, considering every other part of the story (erhm, except the quick deaths of Scorponok and Terrorsaur x_x; ) their past was twisted and the constant fights to try and kill each other.. Not a very happy story with less happy ending.

Depth Charge didn't get much attention, even during the show's airing, which I thought was a shame. I sort of saw he, Devcon, and Cyclonus as the trio who were the most interesting, character wise, but sort of left out because they had darker issues the shows (and maybe the fans) didn't want so much to go into. But I'm glad to see when someone does them proud, art wise at least. Nicely done.

In Beast Wars, DC and Rampage had pretty evil battle going on between them. Like I just, was it yesterday, told to a friend that Depth Charge was introduced way too late into the series. I think he became one my favorites very quickly in the show and I was sad how his story ended >:I I always start to like those who apparently are supposed to die. UGH! Stupid Depth Charge, stupid Dinobot. Rawr.
But both G1 cartoon and BW were done quite some time ago. Storywise and storywriter wise people have matured and aren't so afraid of change or more darker themes. Which I'm very happy about. Everything needs a breeze of fresh air to keep it alive and going strong

The colors were "normal from the show" at first, but it didn't look so good, so you got to see the dimmer ones, like you noticed. I thank thee for that
