I did something colorful! And fully traditional!

I can't get enough of these two, and it hurts! Because there isn't that much fan content anywhere, it's forcing my hand to fill the emptiness. I just wish I could do more. Anyhow, this isn't meant to be more than the two on same canvas, somewhere faraway from each other, doing their thing, walking, maybe saw or knows each other's presence, but nothing more than that. Two worlds; brilliant, calm and stoic Autobot scientist, and a Decepticon jack-of-all-trades who doesn't bother to hide his feelings.

This started out just as a sketch, because I wanted to draw, sketch, do something. The initial pencils were just out of my memory, and a week later I went through my sketchbook, saw it again, and decided it needed my attention. So I went for the inks without much of a goal; just rough outlines, see where it takes me, but with references this time. And dear heavens do I have unsteady hand, haha! There's no completely straight lines in this at all, but I don't care. I had fun!

The only pencil lines I erased were on their faces, rest got to keep their place, and it's visible through the colors everywhere. Also it was lucky the sketch book has pretty sturdy but soft paper so it could handle my water brush. I used water-soluble colored pencils and then spread it with the water brush to make the color a lot vibrant and to allow me to have the paper texture again for the next layer. Then I just colored it all again. Both bots have the same red as the base color, but with Perceptor I went with more cold red, and Dead End got orange red on top. Made their colors separate from each other, yay success!

And at this point I just HAVE to advertise Sakura Gelly Roll Bright White pen because ooooommmfffgggggg. The white line that separates the two? It's made with the size 10 (0.5mm) gelly roll pen and it was pure opaque white line with just a SINGLE STROKE! I WAS IN HEAVEN! STILL AM! No other method I've been looking for and tried has produced anything like it successfully. The thinner pen in the package is size 05 (0.3mm) and it didn't work as well to the smoothed out surface full of color dust. I tried it on the outlines of the logos and just, well, gave up~
