Description
"Smokescreen, are you ready?""Yes, ma'am. This'll be a piece of oil cake."
"In your dreams which you'll soon be taking!"
Sparring, aww yeah.
One word: I-need-a-better-tiny-brush!
I have kept staring at these two for a long time just standing on my shelf looking plain and bored. Then I just got a huge urge to finally add the missing details. One conversation about Smokescreen, added to the fact I cleaned my table so now there's space, inspired quite a lot too, and voilรก! I spent more time scratching excess paint off with a wooden toothpick than actual painting and color mixing!
If you're wondering about Smokescreen looking a bit different, it's true. The very first day I got him, the hood pieces on his arms just fell off when I moved them a bit, and it made him look better, so off they stayed.

Nice job on the painting. Really impressive
Can I ask you something? I noticed a lot of people who paint Arcee always tend to miss the blue on the bottom of her leg before her foot. Is that particular piece hard to paint? Or do people just keep missing it/not realising it should be blue? Just asking because I've notice this a lot. And I have asked at least one customizer but they never replied...

I had to check screenshots and dayum, you're right! I've missed the blue part on her feet just above the tip. I shall get to that when I get my next painting inspiration. Thanks!

Yeah it's the part that comes down from her leg. It's actually supposed to be part of the leg and her foot is the thin narrow part, but they molded it all as one piece so it ends up being black. I just noticed that customizers don't tend to color that part and wondered if it was a hard part to paint or if they just missed it.
ย I didn't mean for you to feel like you had to go and paint it though, unless you wanted to. Your figure already looks really good.

I haven't gotten her yet. But.. When I get over the fact that she has box arms, I'll definitely get her.

Such great painting! Smokes looks really cool. What kind of details did Arcee miss when you got her?

Thanks!!! Arcee's details were silver instead of pink, and the inner thighs missed the glow stripe. Oh, and I added the lighter metallic color to her shoulder circles. She didn't need anywhere near as much details painted as Smokescreen.

Good job with the painting! Small details can really be a pain, but you succeeded \o/

Great job!ย Painting figures is so tedious, but ultimately satisfying...especially when the results come out looking so fine. X3

THANKS! It is strangely satisfying! To see the toy get the details to become more show accurate.. it's a nice feeling!
