Description "We are the Borg. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile."

And that's how this character's story began! Though I must admit it's complex even in my head. Lets see how well I can write it down here.

There was five bots on a space ship, on their way to a distant colony. Something went wrong with their warp drive and they were drifting in space and before they could start fixing it, a huge portal opened next to them. From it came out a huge cube, a Borg ship, but it was damaged for unknown reasons. The ship's crew was in awe; a medic Stringbin, a scientist Litmaim, one guard Plier, the pilot was Destow and the fifth passenger, who was not in awe, was a criminal in stasis-lock called Wirecut.

Their amazement turned into a worry when the Borg ship seized theirs with a tractor beam and a gloomy sounding message repeated from the speakers. Not a moment longer there was small half organic, half technological creatures teleporting inside their ship. They didn't seem very threatening so not even the guard in the group raised weapons against them, which they all should have. Before the guard new better, one had been teleported right on his shoulders and the creature gave him an electronic shock which made him fall to the floor in an instant. That alerted rest of the bots but the Borg kept teleporting new arrivals, total of six, which each had exact plans for the ship's crew. There wasn't a great battle since the bots had no chances against the shocks and soon all five were teleported back to the Borg ship.

The Borg failed to assimilate first four, but learned the basics of Cybertronians from the medic who happened to be the fourth. Because those four were now on the verge of death and yet very valuable with all the information, the Borg decided that to keep them alive they had to unite all five into one bot, the one that was in stasis-lock and most capable of assimilation. The plan was a success as they installed all four bots' brain modules into the prisoner. What the Borg didn't know, was the fact that bots can survive as individuals even with just brain left, thus the four that was now one, made a plan to unlock the stasis off of the criminal as they knew how dangerous Wirecut was.

Stasis lock removed just before the assimilation would finalize, the biggest bot woke up and immediately knew the situation as the other four shared information about it in an instant. The prisoner wasn't happy at all and tore through the already broken Borg ship with ease, destroyed the tractor beam generator in the process and escaped by jumping from the Borg ship to land on their still intact space ship. Wirecut didn't plan on going back to prison, thus tried to change the course of their ship, but because the guard knew the code for stasis-lock, he put Wirecut back to sleep.

Although Wirecut was out of commission, the other four were still able to use the body, but not to its full potential. They noticed very fast that if they tried to use it as if all were normal, they'd overload the normal neural pathways and then they'd all be just a motionless bot until natural recovery would fix the damage. Thus they came up with a plan to synchronize their motion-section and use lesser paths to move with manual impulses. That method prevented them from any complex maneuvers including the use of the host's face.

Slowly they were able to fix the warp engine and while on their way back to Cybertron, as the colony was out of the question, they installed speakers and other devices to help communications with others than the four of them. Due to the dangerous criminal almost on the loose, their mutual agreement was to keep their host in a stasis-lock until a method could be found to make everyone separate again.

How they can live together like that has gone through a lot of trials and errors and inner fights but eventually they started to settle down and accept each other. Because they were only one bot, they decided to keep the Borg name to keep it simple and as a living warning to others if they were to encounter the Borg.

After all...

TL;DR: Five of Eleven is four mechs in one femme.

Yeah, a bit of a head ache right there and not the most accurate... but I had fun with this one.

ps. The scribbles on the left top corner are the work of my daughter as we were drawing next to each other. The longest line she managed to draw went through the character's torso which I managed to erase.

The one you see in the picture IS the prisoner. Wirecut got the whole crew's brains installed into her, and yes, they share the same body~

No, they don't hide from the police as they explained the whole situation. Surely it took time for the law force to digest all of that and through medical examinations it was concluded to be true. Thus the others are using the convict's body to use it how they see fit in their daily lives of working together and making a living like any other bot would. Or try doing it if the task at hand is too complicated! They cannot fight at all for example. That would require too much from the frame to function without the host's consciousness.

Old cheese? Maybe! In Vietnam, people say that a stupid brain like me is a soy pulp! I think if I replace my brain by both soy pulp and old cheese, perhaps I'll become smarter! Than ever!

Well, considering all the vitamins and proteins and what not, those two combined probably could work just fine as a substitute brain.

STAR TREK FTW!

Well, The Borg wants to integrate everything into themselves and since TFs are living mechanoids I don't see why not. The queen even tried to get Data at one point, so yesss, another bot type would be a delicious addition!

But 3D on 2D is difficult! It's not something every person can do even with a lot of practice! XP So that's a bad comparisooooon!

pika In reply to EH-WHATED-YOU-SAY [2015-04-08 06:01:59 +0000 UTC]

Because most people don't have the confidence to put their "not so good art" online? Because they keep comparing themselves to people who are way more experienced in the world of art than they are and lose their inspiration because of it? The worst they can do to themselves it to compare artists ages to their own which doesn't change anything. All that matters is practice and how often one does it. I've drawn my entire life about from the moment I was able to hold a pen as a toddler. I'm soon 32. In short terms I've drawn actively 20+ years. How long have you? And how well do you comprehend perspective? Proportions? How well do you understand how 3D works on a flat surface? How well do you understand depth of field or vanishing points? How about compositions? How well do you understand how an eye wanders around an image they look at? Where's the focus points? How to portray emotions with face and body language? Can your hand do what your eyes tell it to do or does it start hurting after a short while and lines are shaky? I could add a lot more questions.

If you know how to answer to those questions and also be able to execute them, you've come a long way yet there's still new things to learn. If you can't, you have to practice more like everyone else, me included.

WELL... Um ok I'll admit that shut me up for a minute or two debating on how to properly respond to that. First I  will say this I more just doodle a bit here and  there very un professionally. Also hm...  I can't say I wasn't joking when i said I can't am a terrible artist but I've also never really tried since I really don't care to by an artist be sides maybe wasting time when the professor thinks he can shut up the class. And I didn't expect to be good at it for no reason at all. Of any thing, this got slightly out of hand just from me saying I'm bad at something!

pika In reply to EH-WHATED-YOU-SAY [2015-09-17 21:15:15 +0000 UTC]

I think the thing got "out of hand" because you tossed sassysarcastic comment back at me. ;3 One cannot be good at anything other than nothing without practice. It's a fact, so don't go telling around you're not good at art like it's someone's fault when that's not the case.

Yeah I do have to agree with you there, and that's why I don't ever tell any one any thing important by text/private messaging etcetera since there's FAR to many ways it can be interpreted. But yeah glad we cleared the air there!

They were able to explain the situation while they were on their way back to Cybertron and doctors examined the body to confirm it. Because one of them knows the codes for the stasis lock there's no danger that the criminal will wake up all of a sudden without a good reason.
