Here is my entry for Smash-New-Universe 's collaboration! More information about the project can be found here !

This was such a fun project to do but oh boy, there were some difficulties too! I'm not very happy with the Lucas' pose here (It looks way too stiff for my taste) but I like how the colours turned out! I wanted to try something different and dynamic with the pose but it seems I still have a long way to go.. I should've just changed the pose entirely and start from the scratch but I was just too stubborn to give up *sigh*. Well, practice makes perfect and I let it go this time.

I had a huge need to draw Lucas with a keytar since it's his instrument in Mother 3. And for the outfit, I was just thinking something very stereotypical 80's stuff (I was also listening to one very famous Finnish 80's band while drawing this so that "might" have inspired me a little).

And the keytar Lucas is playing here is heavily inspired from a Roland AX-Synth. I think the design of that instrument is so elegant and cool so I wanted to sketch something in a similar manner.
