Description
I started etch a sketching a few days ago and this is what happened. I've always been interested in fantasy-oriented environments, and decided to invent a quasi-aquatic prehistoric kind of scenery. I estimate this took about 3 hours. No references were used, and no sketching or conceptualizing was done beforehand. I started with one thing and kept building upon it until I felt it was complete.
EDIT (7-28-12): I'm so thankful for being awarded a daily deviation for this piece. It was a labor of love, and my favorite thing I've done all summer.
EDIT 2 (4-14-20): I updated the main file with a better quality photo!

Wait, do you have a widescreen? Because otherwise that would have rendered weird if your page isn't that wide

Extremely impressive! I used to play with Etch-a-Sketches... but I never was that good and I seem to have lost the practice... Most people don't even know how to make curves though! XD So at least I'm not hopeless.

If you ever happen to pick up an etch a sketch again, I'd love to see what you do with it!
Also, if you're interested, feel free to add any etch a sketch work to this group:

XD Nothing near this good, all abstract, grid-like stuff. I like to make squares that intersect and cross making more squares and rectangles.
Oh, well if I find an etch a sketch and make anything good, I will.
Oh, I almost forgot to add you to my watchlist.

For some reason I'm getting a very "Foster the People" vibe here. This strikes me as stylistically similar to the cover art for "Torches"
